"Or Carter and the other OBL's?"
It sure has been interesting watching these leftist pull the political/economic/education/religious strings of the "right". They are quite proficient at playing all sides of an issue while muddying up the water. Divide and conquer!!!

If you want to promote a particular agenda, you can do so. But have the honesty to write a vanity post and designate it as such. Resurrecting an old news item implies that the POTUS has renewed his criticism of the Minutemen. What you have done is misleading and dishonest.
To: stand4somethin
But here we are a year later and nothing has changed. That is very true. Nothing has changed at all regards the president's border policy.

Are we celebrating the Anniversary of one of the President's dumbest comments?
That's got to be it. And just to time for the April border watch.
At first, I thought Bush said it again. But I guess even he isn't that stupid.

Posting a year old article to stir up contention.
Can't you find anything current to discuss?

Some of our fellow FReepers... the "homers" are getting upset because I posted a year old article. I am as anti-ILLEGAL immigration as you'll get...
That said. For future reference, it would be to your advantage, and a help to all of us, if you would have been up front with what you posted. Perhaps mention that nothing has changed in the time since that article. JMHO

Does the "open border" that Fox wants go both ways? If it happens, will I be able to drive down into Mexico and take any job I want?

NO. Read our lips Mr. President, no favors for your buddy Vicente Fox and the Minutemen are American heroes. Shame on you for defaming them and shame on us all if we don't stand up for our country.

And, President Bush, I wanted to ask you about your opinion about those people who are hunting migrant people along the border. PRESIDENT BUSH: I'm against vigilantes in the United States of America. I'm for enforcing law in a rational way. That's why you got a Border Patrol, and they ought to be in charge of enforcing the border.
and
In terms of the border, listen, we've got a large border. We've got a large border with Canada, we've got a large border with Mexico. There are some million people a day crossing the border from Mexico to the United States, which presents a common issue, and that is, how do we make sure those crossing the border are not terrorists, or drug runners, or gun runners, or smugglers.
And I have told the President that we will -- I will continue to push for reasonable, common-sense immigration policy with the United States Congress. It is an issue with which I have got a lot of familiarity -- after all, I was the governor of this great state for six years and I dealt with this issue a lot, not only with President Fox's predecessors, but with governors of border states -- Mexican border states, Tamaulipas and Nuevo Leon. And I know what -- I know the issue well. And I will continue to call upon Congress to be commonsensical about this issue with the United States Congress.
Thank you for posting the context.
It makes a lot of sense, but the headline writer has to make a living with his misrepresentation of the facts.
