How much of the Earth's crust contains sedimentary rock or evidence of aqueous deposition?

We're dealing with soils, not rocks. Its a whole different subject. (Better bone up on it a little; its one of my sedimental favorites.)

Actually we are dealing with the assertion there is "no evidence" of a global deluge in the geologic record. That's why I asked the questions I did. If you cared to answer them directly it would be apparent that the evidence for a global deluge may or may not be present, depending on what assumptions one cares to make from the outset. Far be it from me to expect you to accept the same text I do as authoritative, but I would hope you can at least admit the geological evidence could reasonably be construed as denoting catastrophic phenomenoa on a global scale.
