I've got news for you. A terrorist who uses a dirty bomb or large chemical or biological weapon to attack a major U.S. city is far more likely to develop such a weapon right here in the United States.

Maybe I missed the part of that story about the "Abu Dhabi, UAE" postmark on those anthrax letters.

Maybe you failed to show that the anthrax in question was of domestic manufacture and not from a foreign lab.

Oh, and the anthrax attacks were very small. And what is the best way to bring in a large weapon?

Ships.

It will be far easier for terrorists to get completed materials abroad on the black market, asssemble the device and ship it here. And all it would take would be a couple of sympathizers in management telling them where the security holes are.

Why couldn't that have been done at any one of the hundreds of other ports operated by DPW? Don't tell me you think P&O did security. Security is the responsibility of Homeland Security, no matter who is running the ports.

Go visit a U.S. port one of these days. One thing that really stood out for me when I was visiting a client in Port Newark last year was that his facility was basically owned and operated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

When the DHS staff told him to do something, he got up and did it.

He didn't quite say, "Yes, master!" while doing it, but he may as well have. If they told him to go out into onto the pier and stick a Yang Ming container up his @ss, he would have done it. Sideways.
