I understand the quid pro quo - it's the only half-plausible super-secret defense this Administration could make.
I simply don't believe that this type of arrangement, like the blackmail the Saudis rammed down our throats re: Israel and the Philistine Terror State, is wise, in our long term best interests, nor does it pass the $$$ smell test. It's something a Rat POTUS would do. (Panama Canal, Long Beach Ports)
I may be in denial, but this just seems like the only explanation that could possibly be the cause, even if it is rather stupid.
