EXACTLY. In my opinion, we just might be cutting some kind of deal. All I'm saying is that right at this moment we don't know what the contract is, we don't know why he is so serious about it...we just don't know anything but hysteria.
Good observation.
"Direct involvement" as in 2 of the 19 hijackers were from UAE? No more "direct" than personally blaming Bush for our own home-grown terrorists.
There are many factors that play into my reasons for not liking this port deal
When I first read about it, that was my gut reaction. It sounded awful on its face. The more I hear, the more I change my mind, this may be a tempest in a teapot.
That being said, I remain skeptical, and am waiting for more rational debate and better information.
Having Schumer and Carter on opposite sides of the issue is hysterically funny, yes?
Oh, I see, so THIS is what the "I ain't voting for McCain" Buchananoids will latch onto when HRC wins--"It was that port thing which no one remembers anymore from back in 2006, yeah, THAT's why HRC won!"
You're nuts.
Multiple Arab-American entities have issued press releases stating that the furor over this is pure racism. Even John Zogby has chimed in.
Now, Bush looks like the only man in Government willing to give Democratic Arabs a fair shake. Guess who will be the big losers, should they pursue the matter? The very same bozos looking to withdraw our troops from the middle east.
Arabs have lots of money, guess which political party just lost a ton of it?
I'm going to rant on this later, but I swear, FReepers need to give their President just a little credit sometimes.

It turns out that an anti-Israeli foundation run by the crown prince of Dubai owns the very deed to CAIR's headquarters located almost in the shadow of the U.S. Capitol. The foundation has held telethons to support families of Palestinian suicide bombers.

(Pat, we soon discovered, I was in the process of throwing himself off a cliff.)
Actually it's the PROUD ignorance is what's unbelievable to me.
FReepers: "Hey, look where Hillary and Schumer are trying to lead us, over that cliff! Let's GO!!!!"
The public can "demand" all they want - what will be the grounds for a Bill of Impeachment (recall "Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors").
Very few people understand what the deal is about, and the MSM will try their damdest to KEEP people from understanding!
Did Cheney threaten to take him bird hunting if he failed to support the port deal?
Is it just me or do I see the same pro-Miers crowd supporting this bizarre deal with a radical Islamic nation? They were wrong then; the next few days will show that they are wrong on this issue too.

So you're saying Bush will be charged with corruption and impeached -- and removed from office?
Is Mr. Sanborn a terrorist now too?!
You mean debate other then the IMPEACH HIM posts??
They never miss an opportunity on that crap
Personally I find it very boring
