SAFETY HARBOR, Florida (AP) -- Terri Schiavo's former husband has married his longtime girlfriend, friends and family members say.
Michael Schiavo and his longtime girlfriend, Jodi Centonze, were wed Saturday at a church in Florida. The bride's brother says it was a very emotional ceremony.
Schiavo's former wife, Terri, had suffered severe brain damage more than a decade ago and died last March after her feeding tube was removed.
Michael Schiavo had argued his wife was in a vegetative state, and would not want to be kept alive artificially.
...snip.....
The newlyweds first met in a dentist's office and began a relationship after Terri Schiavo was already in a nursing home. They have two young children.

When it failed he decided to let go. Can't you people?
The answer is apparently not, judging by all the hate.
I wish no harm to the newlyweds.

Oh boy, the comments on this thread are priceless. Don't worry about it, some folks actually believe that getting a judgement for someone's care and rehab, can then be used to exterminate that same person. Anyone who shacks up with another while a spouse still lives, is still an adulterer. When that same spouse fights tooth and nail for their other spouse to die, while procreating with the other person is sick, besides being a lowlife.
I'm not shocked at all about the Catholic wedding. I am hoping that Jodi had to shop long and hard for a church to perform the service. I will worry about her safety to a point. As for the children, I will always worry about their safety. Their father had his wife's two healthy cats euthanized, just because his girlfriend had a dog. Not cool.

He's a lowlife no matter what else he does. Moral relativism doesn't play well here.

You are delusional if that's what you think about him.
He didn't EVEN provide the most minimal care for his wife. And he starved her to death, with the help of the government.
If he'd have loved her, he would have gladly allowed her parents to care for her. Or at worst case, allowed her parents to be with her when she passed. He would have told her parents where her remains were buried. He would have done so many things differently if he had loved her.
He is probably incapable of love -- hence the warning to his new wife -- because she could be in danger.
Crawl back under your rock.

She'd be a bit safer just shacking up with him and giving her parents power of attorney.

Those of you that have been so passionate in your support for Schiavo, what has changed? Any law changes? Any judicial nominees that support your view point? Perhaps you could point out to us your most recent cause celebre and how that is changing minds on the issue. All I see is the same type of name calling rants as there each time this issue posts on FR.

Well - she better hope she never has to depend on him for her life.

That's because I feel so strongly that this was an injustice.
It's my right to express my opinion. It is your right to express yours. I don't mind one bit having this exact exchange, whenever the subject comes up.
Get used to it.

He didn't EVEN provide the most minimal care for his wifeI can't believe I'm starting this again, but your post really frosts me. He provided such good care that she NEVER had a bed sore. Do you realize how difficult that is. THe first years he did every treatment known to man and some that were experimental. He became a nurse to take care of her. Listen, you're allowed your opinion on Schiavo but that statement is just a bald faced lie.

I don't think he will mess with this wife. I think marrying the mother of his children is part of the reason he wanted his original wife dead.

He loved her and waited and struggled for years to get his wife back to normal. When it failed he decided to let go. Can't you people.
well, no,
You see, many of us read through ALL those depositions, became very fmailiar with the timeline of events, and decided that circumstantial evidence STRONGLY suggests that Terri was Michael's obssessively controlled wife-object, not his beloved wife. No one except Mike, his relatives, his mistress' relatives, and people who were being paid to represent Mike, said otherwise.
Of course, all the Fl rulings said that he was legally entitled to be in obsessive control of his wife-object after she became helplessly dependent. Even her remains after she died.
Now there is the final test of a loving husband...Terri's rapid cremation, non-funeral and delayed, secret, nondescript burial under a headstone engraved with Mike's political statement.
Some of us just don't see that as good or just law and we don't want that to happen to another innocent, again.
By the way, what church did Mike and Jodi CENTONZE/CENTZONE get married in? Not a Catholic Church, I hope.

I still cannot understand why he could not let her parents care for her.It was a tragedy. No one said he could not continue on with his life.It was sooo wrong in my opinion.

Michael Schiavo and his longtime girlfriend, Jodi Centonze, were wed Saturday at a church in Florida. A Scientology church perhaps?
