BETH HOLLOWAY TWITTY: Yes, 4 a.m. on May 31, he stated — I documented in my journal — that he stated to the police spokesperson that he picked Joran up at 4 a.m. Again, on June 17, I have it documented in my journal that they were going to question Paul that day about the 4 a.m. pick-up. And then it changed. That's why I was so shocked that day that you and I went to his home. That was the first time that he had changed to it 11 p.m., to the 29th. So that's just one example of many little details that are just driving me crazy now that I'm back home.
VAN SUSTEREN: So what's the strategy, Jug? I mean, how do we get this case to move forward?
GEORGE "JUG" TWITTY: I really hope that the new people that are involved — and I did meet Eric Zumers (ph) down there with a friend of mine. I actually went out to where they were draining the pond and met him. And I feel like this is my personal feeling. I feel like getting Van der Straaten out of the way will allow us to go back and maybe look at some things that happened on that first, second, third day. And everybody knows those first nine days were so critical and — you know, but — mistakes were made. But they can still go back and get the people that were with me that night.
There's eight people that were with Beth and I the night we went to the Van der Sloots' house. And you know, they didn't take their statements for 19 days, but they can still go back and get them. And you know, people forget things. If we had taken them, of course, you know, two or three days later, we'd probably already have had the answer to what happened to Natalee.
But I still think that the new people there do want to do that. I think they want to go back to the beginning. And there are so many people that they need to go back and talk to that I think, if we do that, somebody's going to say something or they're going to get some kind of clue as to what happened.
Also found these items.
On 7-14 "FoxNews" RIVERA reported that the security cameras at “McDonald’s” for 5-30 do not show Principal Suspect J. SLOOT nor NATALEE nor anyone else involved in case as ever being at “McDonald‘s.”
On 8-23 JUG also said that there is no security camera anywhere on the island that shows Principal Suspect J. SLOOT, supposedly, waiting at the “McDonalds” at 11:00 PM on 5-29 for Current Suspect P. SLOOT to, supposedly, pick him up in their car, nor did a single security camera record Principal Suspect J. SLOOT walking anywhere during his, supposed, 2 mile walk back to his home, supposedly, at 2:30 AM to 3:00 AM on 5-30. (TRAPENBERG would later claim that when the ARUBA police, supposedly, finally thought to check existing security cameras in areas of interest that the recordings of 5-29/30 had, supposedly, already been automatically deleted when automatically recorded over)
who was this group of kids that Charles Croes found? How likely or possible is it that deepak/satish or someone who knew them was part of this group? How many cellphones would have they had and why wouldn't one expect them to not call joran immediately? anyway joran states that deepak called him shortly after this meeting of Croes and the teenagers.
I am thinking of why/how deepak suddenly/unexpectedly called or met joran at around 11pm, just about the time Paulus called joran after the entourage arrived at his home?
I took this to mean that the security cameras show that no one involved was at the McDonalds at 11:00 on 5-30. That would go along with Beth saying 4:30 on 5-31.
This was stated on the timeline:

Beth is saying that paulus "stated on may 31" that he was doing at 4am on the 30th. This does not conflict with the RIVERA statement about the cameras on May 30....they both damn Paulus.

And I took it to mean 4 a.m. since they mention Natalee. At 11 pm she would have been at C&C.
I was thinking McDonald's looked at the wrong tape on 5/30 at 4 a.m.instead of 5/31 at 4 a.m. You know, just another screw up!
Also, did Joran ever mention the drinking age in Aruba? I thought it was 18 - but wanted to be sure.
What is the legal drinking/gambling age?
The legal age for both drinking and gambling is 18 years. It is not, however, widely enforced. You will not usually be "carded".
What was the date the students were leaving Aruba? the 30th or 31st?
Having more faith in Jugs statement I would say they were to leave on the 30th and Riviera misspoke on the date. Both are saying no security cameras showed them being there.
It was also said to me by a police spokesperson on June 16 and June 17 that Paul van der Sloot stated that he picked up Joran at 4 a.m. on the 31st at McDonald's.
Yes on the 31st he stated it but also it was on the 31st.
The Fox/Rivera thing says 5-30.
Carlos n Charlies closed at 1am on Monday May 30.....the kids flew home without Natalee about 10 hours later on the 30. Beth arrived at 10 pm on the 30m and the pow-wow at Paulus house went on past midnite, thus she states the 31st.
I think this is correct.
I wonder too. You know the one thing she didn't bring up? I think it's one of the most HUGE facts pointing to Joran VDS as one of the rapists and probably the killer. HE was the one that described in detail Natalee's underwear right down to the embroidery and he even described some aspects of her naked body!! This he did the night Beth, Jug and the rest of the possee showed up and he stated these things including the fact that he'd had sex with her as she went in and out of consciousness, to JUG and his friends!! I find that fact so compelling. It virtually exposes all the rest of the lies and completely discounts the most RECENT story(ies) he's telling. You can be sure JQK won't be forgetting that.
Incidentally, for those of you who might think I sent the email to Greta calling her a backstabber. It was not me. I didn't even get around to emailing her. I was going to and then I thought, the damage is done. The best thing I can do is shut her off and that is what I have done. I won't be watching her even if Beth appears. The transcripts will suffice.
What's interesting is Joran was in two more fights with the MBHS students:

I'm with you on that condom story. Don't believe it for a moment.
I have not seen a complete transcript of the PrimeTime Live interview, but I did watch it. Unless my memory is faulty, I believe I heard Joran say he decided not to take her into his home because he realized he didn't have a condom in his wallet. He later repeated that he didn't have intercourse on the beach because he didn't have a condom. He also repeated the 'no condom on beach' statement in Greta's interview.
I did find this from PTL:
"We were planning on going to my house, because she said she wanted to go to my house," he said. "My intention was to take her to the house to have sex with her."
But the couple did not end up sleeping together, he said. "I asked her if she wanted to have sex, and she was fine with it," he said. "I didn't have a condom with me though in my wallet, and I won't have sex with a girl without a condom."

My recall is exactly what he says in those two paragraphs. No pause between.
This is how I remember it:
"My intention was to take her to the house to have sex with her. I didn't have a condom with me though in my wallet, and I won't have sex with a girl without a condom."

In Greta's interview, Joran changed his story for not going into his house to because Natalee wanted to see the sharks.
Here's Joran's statements from Greta's interview about why they didn't go into his house:
VAN DER SLOOT: Yes, we did. We actually did stop in front of my house. We got to my house and then, yes then I — then she said she wanted to go see sharks.
VAN SUSTEREN: Why sharks?
VAN DER SLOOT: I have no idea why she wanted to go see sharks and so I was laughing and telling her there's no sharks.
VAN SUSTEREN: Did you actually go into your house with her?
VAN DER SLOOT: No, no, no. We never even got out of the car there.
VAN SUSTEREN: She had no interest in going into your house? She didn't say anything?
VAN DER SLOOT: No, at that point she wanted — she wanted to go see sharks is what she said..."
My wish is that Fuhrman would do for Natalee what he did for Martha Moxley.
