The intent of the Darwin Fish is to make Christians the object of derision. To wear such an object while teaching classes at a public school is a disgrace. Teaching a class at a publicly funded Taxpayer supported University while wearing a Christian Ichthus T-Shirt would obviously be frowned upon by the Administration. But if you desecrate that symbol and use it as an object of Christian intolerance, then that is just fine.Yawn! Teachers and students alike around here wear crosses and other Christian symbols without a word of comment. You really are clueless.

So then the claim that Barrett had his license revoked or otherwise involuntarily removed is false, correct?
Probably true, but that is not the point. I'm sure I can figure out my own point, thanks. Perhaps you can educate editor-surveyor on the likelihood of the falsity of his claim that Barrett's license was revoked.
To: Senator Bedfellow
Why don't you track Barrett down in his court adventures, and see what kind of man he is? (not likely, huh?)

Why would Christians who think Darwin and the ToE are compatible think this is the purpose of the symbol?
I don't think it is very Christian to be so hypersensitive. What would Jesus say?

I'm sure you meant to direct that comment to AC - he doesn't seem to believe your claim that Barrett had his license revoked, but I'll let you two hash it all out. Cheers!
To: Senator Bedfellow
I'm sure I can figure out my own point, thanks.I'm sure you can too, but Barrett still failed a board certification and lost the case. You will also find in the link I gave, the statement that he had sued 40 other times. He "sounds" like the Wendy's chili finger lady.

Sorry for the confusion.

He "sounds" like the Wendy's chili finger lady. He makes the Wendy's chilli finger lady look like a paragon of virtue. He has dedicated his life to preventing people from avoiding, or being cured of disease.

It seems as if you might be technically wrong on the actual circumstances surrounding the infamous doctor. However, if you change the description to "the self-admitted uncertified due to exam failure and who also lost a libel suit while suing 40 others" doctor Barrett, you might please the advocates of the "fine" doctor.

The joke is, like most Christian symbols, the fish was co-opted from an earlier pagan fish symbol, which denoted the vagina of the mother goddess. It's theirs only by theft. And it's a little rude. :-)

He "sounds" like the Wendy's chili finger lady. Somehow, I think you're saying that for purely partisan reasons. Actually, Quackwatch is a quality site that I have personally visited for years. A member of my family is an "alternativist" who constantly pushes the latest fads in nutritional supplements and herbs (the latest being ganoderma). I've relied on Quackwatch to debunk all the questionable practices thrown at me.

Hey, we need to get back to basics here. This thread is drifting badly.

However you want to interpret this and whatever you want to read into it, IIRC this was a private email.
I hope no one ever gets access to private emails I've sent to people I joke around with.
This is the kind of thing the DIMs, MSM, and left wing lunatics are doing to try to discredit Supreme Court nominees. If I accept this tactic as legitimate I'd also have to accept what the DIM/MSM/lefty coalition are doing.

As far as I can see, the record exists only in that post. Where is the citation so that the complete transcript can be viewed? As I understand it, Barrett lost his suit. What does any of this have to do with involuntarily losing one's license. Board certification is a nice credential and is required to practice an many hospitals, but lacking it has nothing to do with having a medical license, and it has nothing to do with losing a lawsuit.
Are you defending medical quackery, or jus jumping in to be obnoxious?
