What are the chances the found a hole in SUSE Linux because the could read the source code? That can't be the reason why because the OSS crowd has assured me that the more eyes on code ensures that it's secure. Who knows, since there's no reason to believe the number of "bad" eyes is less than any supposed "good" eyes. How often does n3wbie and shadow check for holes and report them I wonder. Isn't that how it's supposed to work, since they are using the free software, they need to be contributing back somehow? From each according to his ability, for each according to his need, or something like that?

Well it does say "From each according to his ability" I guess they are giving what they can...running a ping list on a conservative forum is the best they can do.
