I believe it was Bill O'Reilly who said this past year that Bush would be impeached if another major terrorist attack occurred on American soil that could be traced to the chaos at the southern border.

An article or news report a few days ago said some 140,000 detained illegals were OTM (Other Than Mexican).

Some speculate that, for every 1 detained, at least 4 (or more) slip through. If that ratio is applied just to OTMs, that means some 560,000 OTMs may be slipping in.

Of those, many are diseased, many are drug dealers and mules, many are gang members. What assurances do we have that dozens, perhaps hundreds or even thousands, aren't dedicated jihadists planting themselves in cells for future actions?

A half-million OTMs, and they aren't all coming here to clean toilets at Holiday Inn or cut up chickens in a Tyson poultry plant.

If you take out the part about impeaching Bush, which is obvious hyperbole, I would agree with every word in the column.

And maybe a little hyperbole isn't such a bad thing at this point in time.

Is failure to protect the sovereign borders of a nation in order to facilitate the policital, sociial and economic integration of the countries of the western hemisphere a high crime against the American people?

Is using federal governmental agencies to further the integtration of the western hemsiphere, politically, socially and economically, a high crime against the American people?

Is appointing a 'permanent minister' to a supranational parliament a high crime?

Is following the directives from a supranational organization, the Summit of the Americas, on 'migration' and remittances, without consent from the American people a high crime against them?

Alexander Hamilton explained impeachable offenses as “those offences which proceed from the misconduct of public men, or in other words from the abuse or violation of some public trust. They are of a nature which may with peculiar propriety be denominated political, as they relate chiefly to injuries done immediately to the society itself.”

Is the president injuring society through his collusion with Mexico and South America to allow illegal immigration?

Is the president violating the public trust by using federal agencies to promote the integration of the United States with the countries in the Western Hemisphere through the NAFTA, CAFTA and the FTAA?

Okay, now Pat's just being a jackass. Isn't he for open borders anyway?

Presumably if there were votes to impeach President Bush on immigration there would be far more votes to pass immigration reform that would make the impeachment unnecessary.

"Is this not an indictment of democracy itself? "........" Some courageous Republican, to get the attention of this White House, should drop into the hopper a bill of impeachment,.."

What a sad pathetic old figure. He has never forgiven the Republican primary voters for nominating President Bush instead of himself. He couldn't accept the reality that the voters rejected him. He insisted that some secret cabal that he would never identify except as "they", anointed "that Bush boy".

He sought to teach "them" a lesson by running on a third party in order to throw the election to Al Gore.

He ran the most racist campaign since George Wallace. He really believe up until the day of the election that there was a vast underground army of secret racists who were lying to the pollsters and who on election day would vote for him. Even after getting less than one-half of one percent of the vote he still can't give it up.

He continues to pedal his hate through Tancredo, but even Tancredo is beginning to crawfish on being his candidate for Presiovcent in 2008.

What a pathetic little man.

how dare anyone even suggest Bush be impeached. he is a man of great faith and is leading the country the best he can. Some issues are more pressing than others, and just because he has a lot on his plate, he is still not forgetting immigration. someone in his administration is addresing the problem. jeez, sacrifice the best president for one issue! c'mon...

Isn't it amazing how quickly people forget that GW was a 2 term Gov of Texas. I suspect he know a bit more about the issue then former Nixon speechwriter, political pundit and failed political candidate does PB does. In all these hosannas of praise for Richardson and Niapolitano, what have they ACTUALLY done other then signed a decree? What real specific action have they taken?

Funny - no one is trying to get into Zambia or Cuba - I guess all those folks sneaking into the USA heard about the obese population and figured in was time to get fat!

Sorry, but I'm skeptical of the Bush Border Screams.

Are they screaming about the 'borders' per say?

Or are these screams prompted by the latest ICE round ups: confiscated COMPUTERS, money laundering investigations and the massive Cocaine Seizures in Texas?

'Innocence seldom utters outraged shrieks. Guilt does.'

I just can't help but notice, the more arrests, the more investigations of the drug and human trafficking that involve the borders equals more left propaganda about 'Bush doing nothing' and not one ounce of praise or press for all he IS doing.

Even if Bush did want to do something serious about illegals, it would never, ever get through the house and senate. They are all prostitutes.

The Govenors of NM and AZ declaring an emergency is a sham! Designed to make the Prez look bad. Even though GW is doing a good job looking bad on this on his own. The repubs better take notice because the business sect only has so many votes they can bring in. Likeminded Freepers will make a number of individuals pay dearly in the next elections.

There is nothing to argue about in this article.

Pat Buchannon is correct on all counts.

Party loyalists will (and are) flaming Pat's points (no surprise there). But Pat Buchannon is 100% right and I believe this is the only way to get Bush to focus on OUR nation and stop his focus on globalism and nation building.

I voted for Bush twice. I campaigned for Bush twice. I was a mover and shaker that helped him get elected in 2000.

That said, I am with Pat Buchannon on this one as it is the only approach to correct this tragic lack of inattention (better described as misfocused) by Bush to such an important issue that faces our nation.

Because of George Bush, a HUGE part of our national sovereignty has been flushed down the Rio Grande.

"What are these Bush Republicans afraid of? Dirty looks from the help at the country club? "

Buchanan's patented appeal to classism. He preys on life's losers; the habitually depressed malcontents who can't hold down a job and who know they will never be invited to join any country club.

Buchanan gives them a scape goat for their personal failures and wretchedly miserable lives. He make doom and gloom comfortable for them.

President Bush appeals to the more noble side of the American character. He appeals to compassion, hope, family values, ownership, investment and prosperity.

"Where is Bush? All wrapped up in the issue of whether women in Najaf will have the same rights in divorce and custody cases as women in Nebraska. "

Typical anti-war propaganda. The Buchanan/Tancredo crowd should just go ahead and join Cindy Sheehan and Jane Fonda in their campaign against the war in Iraq.
