I think PVDS is more of a bought man, a cover for the real corrupting force. There is a part of me that has wondered if someone is squeezing him. Now Jossy I don't know about...to me he wants the Netherlands out of Aruba so that he can run his business without them investigating things like money laundering and drug trafficking. (Remember, they did this in the last 10 years or so and named Jossy and another Mansur as being involved.)
In reading through a lot of the older articles I was reminded that there was a time that there were over 10 FBI agents in Aruba. Now I'm no expert but that is not an average response. And I go back to what the Congressman said on June 3 or 4...there are circumstances that warrant the FBIs heavy involvement...there was an immediate recognition that this is not about a teen that wandered off.
TK, if you remember, wasn't it Greta who interviewed Beth about her activities the day she learned Natalee was missing? (It's the one she talked about driving 100+ MPH.) Do you know where I could find that transcript or remember the approximate date?
Thanks.

Aruba: A Government Of Racism And Human Rights Violation

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
, / PR FREE / May 27 2005 --
Local activists are not only gearing up for the upcoming September elections in Aruba, but one group in particular has stepped up its attacks on the MEP government, accusing the government of being in serious violation of international human rights laws and violating the basic human rights of its own citizenry.
Attorney Roland A. Smith and renowned black activist and survivor of the Aruba prison abuse scandal, Mr. Alex Mathew, have joined forces in opposing the MEP government. Mathew vehemently has maintained his innocence prior to and during his incarceration at the KIA correctional facility from 2001 to 2004. Many pundits argue that it is Mathew who initially indirectly uncovered and exposed the corrupt and atrocious racist practices of the MEP Government when a group of disinterested international activists learned of the abuse perpetrated onto Mathew by government officials and decided to take matters into their own hands with their own investigation. The group also addressed other clear cases of abuse towards black inmates.

Surpressing San Nicolas And Its People: Discrimination Exposed
EAST GREENWICH, R.I./EWORLDWIRE/June 14, 2005 --- White pretty girl from Alabama, U.S.A. disappeared in Aruba May 30,2005 - Last seen with white Dutch boy belonging to a very powerful and influential family that is well-connected to the head of the heads of the justice department in Aruba.
All evidence that could have been accumulated to keep the white suspect detained was ignored and overlooked solely because the white man's word weighs more than the black man's word. "If you are a white Dutch suspect in Aruba, you can easily be turned into a witness as long as you point your fingers to a black man/Arubian," says Edwardo Mathew.
Mathew is uniquely suited to provide commentary on the situation. A native of Aruba who served a sentence at the KIA correctional facility in Aruba from 2001 to 2004, it is widely believed that Mathew was wrongfully convicted. His case is currently being heard before the European Court of Human Rights.

Nieuws: Dr. A. Mathew Announces Boycott Of Aruba

EXCERPT
Now the attention has turned to Aruba and Freedom Partner's Alliance seems determined as ever. Attorney Nadeau further stated that, "In Mr. Mathew's case, it appears to be well documented that Arubian Government Officials and the Dutch judges have violated Mr. Mathews rights and have gone against doctors recommendations. He has even been placed in solitary confinement well beyond what is considered humane by any measure and that is also evidenced by Amnesty International and the Committee for Prevention of Torture of Prisoner's current interest and involvement with this case."
Nadeau also added that he and a team of well known international attorney's are preparing for a large scale international civil lawsuit against Aruba and the Netherlands and will be seeking an award of upwards to several hundred million dollars.
Mr. Mathew was scheduled to be released on January 27, 2004; however, his release has been denied without cause.
The Minister of Justice, Mr. Rudy Croes and the director of the prison, Mr. F Maduro prolonged Mr. Mathew's detention under the same inhumane and barbaric circumstances that he has been in for the past 2 years despite repeated pleas for help and resolution by Mr. Mathew, his family and human rights organizations around the word including Amnesty International. His mental and physical condition is deteriorating daily. This is a flagrant abuse of power and violation of international human rights standards.
EXCERPTED from your link:
The minister of justice, the political party MEP and the Dutch judges are portraying their partiality by bringing in a judge from a different Island to rule over the case yet the officials that are preparing the investigation are all friends and family of the suspect. How partial is this? Those who are preparing the investigation/case have access to all declarations, forensic reports, suspects and suspects family. Several reports by the international press have proven that the van der Sloot family is very close to the investigating team (The Dutch prosecutors office).
The habitual impartiality has been demonstrated in the past with several cases, one case in particular stands out. The case of Alexander Mathew against a Dutch government official, Ben Vocking whom now goes by the name of Ben King . In this particular case documents disappeared, forensic reports were over looked and witnesses were denied, these documents were in the favor of Alexander Mathew. Paul van der Sloot is a high ranking official in the judicial system and is close friends with Ben King, whom now works at the prosecution office. King was reportedly seen visiting Paul van der Sloot at his home when the Arubian police were performing a search of the van der Sloot residence. Mathew's entire case was tampered with. King said that his friend Paul van der Sloot helped him in the Mathew case. How many cases has and will Paul van der Sloot help cover up?
Mathew was isolated for two years and eight months to ensure that the truth would not surface. The Arubian press and the minister of justice, Rudy Croes played a large roll in the defamation of his character to justify his isolation. Now that the truth has surfaced, certain politicians and senators have raised concern that this corruption will repeat itself in the Holloway case and justice will not be served. The minister of justice Rudy Croes is attacking Alexander Mathew, the politicians and the senators in the local newspapers based upon lies. The minister of justice is even accusing Mathew of owning the website "to hell with Aruba. Com," this is a false accusation that is being supported by the Arubian newspaper "Bon Dia Aruba."

Dolphy,
Probably a better term, the dutch elitist/crime cartels money train.
PVDS is probably the top coordinator, put in nominal type position for the dutch government in Aruba. I fail to see why INTERPOL has not been called into the mix?
Any person who truly wanted to be a judge, would not keep failing the written exams repeatedly.
Maybe the USA should consider this case an act of terrorism, against an American citizen. If so, we could pull in our finest resources and hound those involved to the pits of hell.
Trusting in a foreign government to do what is right, is like sticking you hand in an urn full of Cobras and expecting not to be bitten.
I am not a politician, however when an international incident of this nature occurs. I expect to see the some high profile action by the USA, regardless, of the offense taken by the dutch/arubans or the UN.
America needs to start looking out for our best interests and it's citizens. The cuddling of these foreign countries will one day lead to a severe catastrophy(9/11 just the start) in America, nuke, chemical and biological attacks.
Just wanted to add, I saw an MSNBC online a headline a few days ago, the cost of gas $0.05 a gallon in Iraq.
The reality, we should should be getting a damn good price break on the cost here in America. Our politicians have forgotten who sent them to Washington D.C.
I rightfully presume gas cost is no concern to them with all their lucrative bennies and perks. Well what about us?
Natalee is calling for justice. Where are you "America's Politicians?"
What if this were you daughter or son in the same situation"???????????????????????????????????
Time to step off the POA soap-box for a while.
Fortitude and Justice,

Sounds like VanderSloot, VanderStraaten & King are thick as thieves and it dosen't bode well for Natalee.

Rita Crosby was a real embarassment, the questions she asked BH were terrible.
AIB,
The case against Alex Mathew is the case that PVDS and Ben (Vocking)King were involved in that left King seriously hurt. Appartantly Mathew was accused of beating his wife, who lobbyed for his release, but he was kept in prison for quite a while. Mathew is said to have beat Vocking, but some of the evidence that favored Mathew was 'lost'. PVDS assisted Vocling in this case.

It could be that same silly girl and her mom that were on MSNBC. They are from NJ and spent some time with the VDS family. I really hope it isn't them!
"Still, who knows, maybe something will spur an idea? But I am well aware of the Internet and we know not who is behind the keyboard."
one tool of logic you can use in this endeavor of observation on SM is that after you ID the folks who are consistent with disinfo and seem to enhance the points that they make to each other.....make notice of the subjects/persons/known facts that they avoid or keep harping to alter. IOW follow the money can mean things other than money.
Forgive me for stating the obvious, but I won't tell you how many times I have been fooled (or fooled my own self) during my life by not applying this simple rule of thumb, LOL.
Joran Van der Sloot No Stranger To Holloway's Group
From the mailbag. It just seems strange to me that three months into this people are still debating when Joran met the group of Mountain Brook students, when early reports suggest they were somehow reasonably well aquainted.
That's two independant reports now that suggest they were hanging out for a few days or so - but ever since Fox decided to make the kid an axe murderer, we really haven't seen any of these sources back in the news. Hmmm ....
Suspect Was No Stranger To Holloway's Group.<
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The Natalee Holloway case's main suspect, Joran van der Sloot, was no stranger to the Mountain Brook group. He'd been hanging out with them all week, according to one of Holloway's friends, NBC 13 reported. Jamie Justice said she got to know van der Sloot at the Black Jack table. "The way he came off wasn't at all in a threatening way," Justice said. "He was really naive to everybody."
I also find it odd that Vocking would change his name to King a few months ago. Why?
"The way he came off wasn't at all in a threatening way," Justice said.
I suppose Miss Jamie Justice has no knowledge of THIS:

(I'd enlarge it and paste it here, but I don't know how)
The way the advertisment of tonight's show sound it does not appear to be the Cadmus. The way they make it sound is that this could be damaging to Joran.
But who knows this may just be a ploy to get people to tune in.

Man had scuffle with some of Holloway's friends
By DANIEL JACKSON
BIRMINGHAM POST-HERALD
One of the three young men arrested Thursday in the disappearance of Mountain Brook teen Natalee Holloway got into a pushing match with some of her friends in an Aruban bar, one of Holloway's friends said Thursday.
Bryan Reynolds, 18, one of 124 recent high school graduates whowent to Aruba in late May, said some of his friends almost got into a fight with Joran Andreas Petrus Van Der Sloot and his friends.
The scuffle started after Van Der Sloot, a Dutch suspect arrested at his upper-class home in Oranjestad, Aruba, Thursday morning, had been talking to 18-year-old Holloway at a bar where she and classmates hung out during the five-day trip, Reynolds said.
"There was almost a fight between my friend and him," said Reynolds, who was sitting in his car in the parking lot of Mountain Brook Community Church on Thursday after attending a noon prayer service with his classmates and others. "I had to break them up. That's when I got a good look at them."
Van Der Sloot, the son of a Dutch justice official studying at the Aruba International School, and two Surinamese brothers identified by police as Satish and Deepak Kaploe, were arrested Thursday morning, more than a week after Holloway disappeared. The last known people to have seen Holloway, the suspects told police they gave her a ride to her hotel in the early morning hours of May 30, the night she vanished, and never saw her again.
Reynolds said he saw the suspects hanging out at the Holiday Inn where the Mountain Brook High School graduates stayed in Oranjestad. When Holloway went missing, Reynolds said they were the first people he considered as potential suspects.
"That was the first people who came to mind," said Reynolds, who said Holloway is one of his best friends.
Last week, authorities also arrested Nick John, 30, and Abraham Jones, 28, two security guards who both insist they never saw Holloway.
Chris Lejuez, an attorney representing Jones and John, said his clients are being investigated on suspicion of murder and kidnapping, but authorities have not released evidence that Holloway was the victim of foul play. Nor have they ruled out other possibilities, like accidental drowning. None of the suspects has been charged.
Holloway's relatives, who still hope they will find her alive, believe the investigation accelerated in the right direction Thursday when authorities arrested the three suspects, Holloway's aunt Marcia Twitty said during a news conference in front of the Mountain Brook church Thursday.
"We wanted to see this happen," Twitty said. "These are the last three people seen with her. You'd think they have to know something."
Authorities previously questioned Van Der Sloot and the Kaploe brothers about Holloway's disappearance, but at that time, the attorney general's office said they were considered witnesses, not suspects.
The Associated Press reported Thursday that the three young men told police a man dressed in a security guard uniform approached Holloway when they dropped her off in front of the Holiday Inn.
The Kaploe brothers told police Holloway had been drinking, and she fell down when she got out of the car, but refused help from Van Der Sloot, saying, "I can stand on my own," The AP reported.
A man dressed in a black security uniform and carrying a walkie-talkie approached Holloway, seemingly in an effort to help her, the suspects told police. The suspects said they drove off and never saw her again, The AP reported.
But Holiday Inn employees said the hotel's security cameras did not record her return.
Police also impounded a gray Honda car Thursday. Holloway's friends reported seeing her leave a nightclub in a silver car the night she disappeared. That night, Holloway ate and danced at Carlos 'n Charlie's bar and restaurant. Police found her passport with her packed luggage in her hotel room after she missed her return flight the next morning.
Under Aruban law, serious suspicion from investigators is all that is needed for a judge to rule the suspects can be detained by police. The Aruba government, local tourism organizations, her family and supporters in Alabama and at Carlos 'n Charlie's are offering a $55,000 reward for information leading to Holloway's rescue.
An intensive search for Holloway is ongoing in Aruba, Twitty said. In Birmingham, people continue to offer support to her family and friends.
Clarissa Winchester of Gardendale signed the memorial wall for Holloway at the church Thursday. She drove her two daughters through lunch hour traffic to try to make the prayer service.
Her 4-year-old daughter, Caroline Grace Winchester, had been asking about Holloway, she said.
"More and more people in the community feel the burden as days go by," said Clarissa Winchester, 28. "She's one of ours. We make more of a connection with her the longer we see her face. ... We love her, and we want her to get home."
She did not make it in time for the service, but did write a Bible verse, Genesis 31:49, in big red capital letters on the board.
The verse says: "May the Lord watch between you and me when we are absent from one another."
Underneath, scrawled in by a black marker, was a heart and a message that Clarrisa Winchester wrote from Caroline: "Love Caroline, 4 years old. We all miss you!"
Post-Herald reporter Andrew Nelson and The Associated Press contributed to this story.

"Justice said Holloway spent most the night with her friends, not van der Sloot. However, at about 1:30 a.m. Holloway and van der Sloot left the bar together.
Justice says although Holloway is a sweet person she isn't overly trusting."
These two statements are contradictory IMHO. Something very wrong about these events in light of Nat being mostly with friends and not overly trusting.
"Justice says although Holloway is a sweet person she isn't overly trusting"
stated alterbatively...
sweet but cautious
