Strong evidence that the Catholic Church is deeply involved in harboring illegal aliens in the United States.

I still think Bill Richardson looks like George Lopez's fat brother.

In yet another event we find one of Vincente's Mexican-American 'helpers!' New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, an Hispanic, seen on the left, as he embraces the governor of the Mexican state of Coahuila, Enrique Martinez, at the end of the 13th conference of Border governors in the city of Torreon, Mexico on Friday July 15, 2005.(24)

Unfortunately, that's true. The people at the top condoning illegals are disconnected from reality. They should be doing their work where the problem started, not here.

"The Catholic Church, Charities and other organizations who defy our immigration laws are criminals! It does not matter what 'higher law' they think they are obeying. They are the proverbial 'Fifth Column' who operates out of sympathy for the 'invading army' of illegal aliens, by traitorously and subversively facilitating an illegal alien invasion of our country. An Hispanic/Latino invasion that WILL, by their sheer numbers, irrevocably alter our American community. They will divide our nation into two languages, two cultures, and two societies. The Catholic Church and Charities, their membership and other religious zealots who think only of their 'mission' without regard for the rest of us . . . are traitorous criminals who are betraying their country and are therefore guilty of treason!
[Draws a big breath ...]
"The Catholic Church and Charities apparently believe that they should not be bound by the immigration laws of our country. They have taken it upon themselves to defy our laws by illegally 'aiding and abetting' aliens to come, enter, take up residence and work here in America.
That makes them criminals!"

This is why, since the late 1980s when they were caught in Tucson harboring illegal aliens they had smuggled into Arizona, I have declined to give money to Catholic Charities or the organization that supports them. Instead I give to individual Catholic missions that I know are doing actual good, feeding the hungry, ect. and not breaking any laws.

Good for you..many with good hearts look upon the human suffering of the worlds poor and say we must help them..but give little thought to the unintended consequences of their kindness..Catholics must understand that charity should not overrule the laws of our land!! send your charity to missions overseas not to import the impoverished here.

If they're above the laws of this country, perhaps their tax-exempt status should be revoked, and they can pay taxes to help the rest of us support these freeloaders from Mexico.
To: janetgreen
The trouble is not that we don't already have laws against smuggling people into this country, it's that our elected representatives won't enforce them, won't secure the borders, won't do anything to stop the invasion. The people breaking the existing laws continue to do so with impunity because they can.

The people breaking the existing laws continue to do so with impunity because they can. And we're paying a HUGE price, thanks to our spineless politicians.
