Hey TK...I think that poster meant 1-2 ft of water instead of 1 - 2 inches of water.

DS I have heard so many different descriptions of what condition the ponds was in during that time one never knows. Even Greta has stated that the times she was there, that at times there would be water there and at others times it would be dry.

I heard the same, but I read a news report today that gave the depth in feet at the current time and saw film of the water being pumped, it looked like a lot more water that a couple of inches.

And that big pump they were using would suck a coupla inches off Lake Ponchartrain in two days. But I am just speculating, of course.
