Firefighters drain a lake, Tuesday, July 26, 2005, in Oranjestad, Aruba searching for Alabama teenager, Natalee Holloway, who vanished nearly two months ago while vacationing in the island. Also, there are apparently two voice mails from Natalee that night (we have no office confirmation) one says help me and the other says I don't know these men (people).

Which one said "Help me"? I don't recall hearing that. One message was to her (Twittys) home, and no one picked up. The other, was it to the boy on the trip who had the only working cell from home on the island? I thought his message waas too garbled to understand?

Since the messages pinpoint Natalee as alive at that point, I really wish we know their exact times.

Now I understand why it is taking so long to drain it.

Texas Equusearch on Thursday, July 28th

Today, the ground impaction sonar and the methane system were used today by Texas Equusearch in the area where the shallow grave and the ductape and hair samples were found. Results will be reported later.

This evening the Texas Equusearch team will be doing methane testing at the pond that they drained near the Marriot.

I've also heard Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity say things on their radio shows that I think were stimulated by comments and info here.

SOrry for the OT but I agree! I know one of my posts, and one of another guy's posts, were quoted by Rush almost verbatim. I was actually PROUD to hear him say it. I don't mind at all!

One guy started FReepmailing me about a year ago. "Come on. I figured it out. I know that you are Rush Limbaugh. I figured he would probably change his gender on FR. My wife doesn't believe me so help me prove her wrong. Say something today on your show that will prove that you are you."

I was nearly off my chair laughing my tush off! I even emailed Rush in case he wanted to help string this poor guy along! (No answer from El Rushbo.) I tried to convince him that I was NOT Rush and he would not believe me. He quoted some of my posts to "prove" that I was Rush. Even though I had posted a pic of my 2-year-old son recently! Finally he believed me and felt totally embarrassed. Me? I was as flattered as heck!

The gas detection equipment is a piece of equipment that was developed to detect gas leaks in gas lines/pipes.  A tech was checking for leaks along a pipeline one day and kept getting readings that drew him away from the pipe.  He followed the signal and found human remains.  I believe its methane gas that it detects.  The one they are bringing is highly sensitive and will be able to detect decomposing remains for up to 3-4 months.

I disagree. It's not that the news is pushing a beautiful missing woman to make money, it is also that many, MANY people are following along with this case and have become sort of "friends" of Natalee's family. We are hoping for new stories and info, we want to get to know the cast of characters, and we want to help solve the case if we only could. WE CARE. So they go with the story.

I am glad they do. I know people groan but people find different things interesting. I find true crime and mystery interesting and find basketball like watching paint dry.

And I think we all would wish for that kind of coverage and support if it were our child. Natalee Holloway was not "the Lindbergh baby" and yet her mother and Greta and others MADE SURE to get this case enough coverage to keep the pressure on a very corrupt system.

Court Tv PI: Wants to use the equipment near the golf course. Between the Marriot and VDS. Says new information has come to him lately. If the other places don't find anything.

I say, if she's an American citizen, call out the dad gum Marines. I think we could put a big dent in the drug trade and take control of a strategic point between Cuba and Venezuela if we overran and cleaned up this hell hole. Make the high and mighty ex-pat Dutch serve burgers to the ones that they've been looking down their noses at for all these years. Huzzah!

I wasn't a Marine, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. And before you ex-Marines want to come kick my a$$, I know it takes a helluva lot more than staying at a motel to be a Marine.

Nothing makes me prouder to be an American, than seeing a bunch or Marines in their dress blues.

Yaelle, I could be mistaken, but I have been operating on these two messages from early on...source I cannot quote as they have all merged.

There is also the supposed, "are you calling home?" heard in the background then the line goes dead. All of these have been "stated" at some point, but not confirmed.

I know one thing, the monkey next door to PVDS because it's owners were away had a habit of making certain noises.
When Beth was at the VDS house that first night, something made he absolutely certain Natalee had been there.

For me, it would make sense that she heard that monkey, just as she heard in the voice message background of one of the voice mails. As to whether the contents of the messages are accurate, I do not know, but I'm betting the monkey sounds are one and the same.

.....uma puma......live from the tube .....Catherine Crier has TJ Ward on...he says the pond at the time in question, the witness who lives in the ARC says was filled with 1 - 2 inches of water. TJ says it would be very easy to bury a body there. He said there were tools around the subdivision because of the construction going on & they could have easily used them to bury her in the pond. He said he (TJ Ward) received an email from someone saying the VDS has access to a condo near the ARC and drew a map of where it is located. TJ turned this information over to the family (Twitty & Holloways) and they turned it over to the FBI and the ALE. When asked if this condo has been searched, he said he was going back to Aruba Sunday and will be following up on leads....he did not answer the question.

..........live from the tube..........(on Catherine Crier) a reporter for CNN was interviewed.....she said the DNA has been completed per the FBI........we are waiting for the Dutch. She also said she spoke w/Joran's atty. who said the statement made by Joran about Deepak raping and then killing Natalee was taken out of context....he did say it in an interrogation, but it was in regards to him saying I don't know what happened to her.... I didn't kill her, maybe Deepak raped her and then killed her........

......golf course that runs between the ARC and the VDS home......TJ wants to search that area if this brings up nothing (the pond).....
