Various News Outlets | 7/28/05

Previous Natalee Holloway Threads

Firefighters drain a lake, Tuesday, July 26, 2005, in Oranjestad, Aruba searching for Alabama teenager, Natalee Holloway, who vanished nearly two months ago while vacationing in the island. Edwin Comemencia, a police spokesman, confirmed that the draining of the lake across from the Marriott Hotel was part of the investigation into Holloway's disappearance but would not comment further. The draining was expected to take up to 24 hours. (AP Photo/Pedro Famous Diaz)

Being discussed now on Fox News Dayside.

Says they are not looking for body, but evidence.

The PI apparently discovered that at one time, PVDS had worked for VDS (or was it the other way around?).

It was VDS working for PVDS in some kind of law related business.

She does. Someone said she hinted that people were complaining she was losing her 'journalistic bias' and getting too close to Beth or some such BS, and so she threw that out there. Sop to the whineys. (Probably Dutch whineys)

But Greta was clarifying that it was not VDS who let PVDS out of jail; he was the one who put him in.

Although the ratings are great for Greta, I think she truly cares for Beth Twitty (and the rest of the family) but I think there's really a bond there, and I think she tries to follow the Twitty/Halloway lead in trying to keep the blame from 'officials' until Natalee is recovered one way or the other.

Hey RGV, I was kidding about the guy standing next to PVDS. I have no idea who he is. By the way, I'm in Clear Lake.

I agree. I think one reason why Greta gets in to see and interview so many families in crisis is that she really cares for them and they sense it.

Oh well, I took your post as a guess to whom that is in the pic with PVDS.

I'm waaaaaaay south of you. Rio Grande Valley, Harlingen.

this kid ISN'T more important than a kid missing in manhattan or anywhere else, each is as important---but the police and court system aren't attempting to coverup error and delay and stupidity there and they are in aruba---this is an american snatched by selfish men overseas and that makes the CIRCUMSTANCES special, not the person...so why be here if you don't understand why others don't agree with you?...only folks actually willing to help and stay focused (and not pay attention to even meaningful folks who think the effort is a waste) can keep this case from being swept under the rug just like the amy bradlee disappearance was...
and then someday, when you are the tourist, maybe the evil folks will think twice about causing harm, since they know americans care more than the bad guys initially thought---every person on this thread should be applauded for the effort and will to help this girl and her family...even you, onja, because you remind us to strengthen our resolve

I read here yesterday a theory that Urine and Kaltards could have buried her in the muck while the pond was dry. Makes good sense.

Also, is it true that Urine was muddy? Also, was he seen at a car wash?

Is it just me or are the networks (CNN, MSNBC, and FOX) being awfully quiet today?

Quiet before the storm RR.

Sorry, I don't know the answers to your questions. Perhaps someone else does. Good questions!

I agree: I always carry a small separate pouch (whatever) with toothbrush, toothpaste, makeup and hair stuff when traveling. It goes with me...not in my general luggage.

It just makes sense. We ladies have to stay fresh! :o)

Here's a blanket and a cup of hot tea. It'll wear off in a little while. :-)

You are so kind, Malichi! What a heart! :o)

By the way, I saw over at scared monkeys this morning where they were quoting you! You're famous! Cool, huh?

Wouldn't you know, just as I post no news....still, they have all been off this case today, unlike previous days.

They did say not looking for a body, Josse still may be right as he has a reputation and livelihood to uphold.

I'm thinking like others, PVDS met them there; then again, they always say when you lie there a part of the truth within.

One of he lies, about them stopping by the VDS home just in the car, I'm thinking they really did go to the house. This is where Natalee got hold of one of the boys phone and made those calls with the monkey in the background.

I would like to just take a moment and thank you all, as I've been reading as I travel and following this case. I did the same on the Laci Peterson and guess real life mysteries are my stress reliever (I mean that in the non pejorative way) while on the road.

Been mostly gone this summer so could you explain this? Thanks!

Strange isn't it, for such a "big" case? You'd think they'd throw a few more crumbs our way...

Anyone heard about this?

http://www.riehlworldview.com/

"Diario is reporting that they learned through various reliable sources that the Natalee Holloway case is (almost) solved. Diario reported today that around midnight the police closed of the pond that was being drained in the vicinity of Aruba Racquet Club. Immediately after that the local police and FBI went to the site with special equipment to conduct a thorough investigation. It is believed that the remains of Natalee Holloway have been found in the pond. Diario has approached the local authorities to get a statement from them regarding the finding of the body. The police officers got nervous and wouldn’t go into details. "
