Previous Natalee Holloway Threads

Firefighters drain a lake, Tuesday, July 26, 2005, in Oranjestad, Aruba searching for Alabama teenager, Natalee Holloway, who vanished nearly two months ago while vacationing in the island. Edwin Comemencia, a police spokesman, confirmed that the draining of the lake across from the Marriott Hotel was part of the investigation into Holloway's disappearance but would not comment further. The draining was expected to take up to 24 hours. (AP Photo/Pedro Famous Diaz)

I apologize to everyone. I did not mean to offend you all. i certainly did not mean to imply that you all were dorks. I was just saying that it seemed to me to be a little overblown. I may have seemed harsher than I meant to. I've just noticed that whenever there's a story news stations(CNN, FOX, MSNBC, etc.) spend all the time on one issue. Whether it's a hurricane where they'll spend a few days, an election where they'll spend a few weeks, or this case. I seem to have an exquisite skill in accidentally offending people:)

And this time I really will leave and you can say what you want about me.

Hello Everyone! Dan at Riehl World VIew has posted an unconfirmed report in the Diario that Natalee's remains were found in the pond after midnight last night. There may be a problem with the translation, however, as the Diario report is not in English. I am somewhat skeptical as the MSM is quiet on the Natalee story today. You would think that they would be tripping over themselve to be the first to report this information.

Isn't Dan the same guy who reported that the DNA evidence on the duct tape/hairs was negative? (Before results were in.)

...what in the world are you people blathering on about that silly book for, there are lots of better books that merit your time and attention...

Do you know that there is an ongoing Hobbit thread, that is rumored to be up above 65,000 posts at this point? No end to the sorts of things to be discussed on FR.

Yet, the loss of one young girl is a wasted effort for some.

Good morning to you too, TexKat.

You're just about the only who acknowledges my presence and my theories here.

No, I don't have another one of them theories, not yet.

No offense taken, Onja.

A lot of us here see Beth and Jug and pictures of Natalee and immediately see our own families. I am personally angered by the way the Aruban LE has treated these people. I have spent a number of years travelling in the Caribbean and Central America and have noticed all along this undercurrent of resentment and sometimes hate , particularly in El Salvador, that comes from these people toward Americans. To me, Beth,Jug and Natalee represent America. And, I am with them to the bitter end.

Diario Reporting Natalee Holloway Remains Found?
This came in from Dutch blog Hasibokus ... I have not been able to confirm.

Diario is reporting that they learned through various reliable sources that the Natalee Holloway case is (almost) solved. Diario reported today that around midnight the police closed of the pond that was being drained in the vicinity of Aruba Racquet Club. Immediately after that the local police and FBI went to the site with special equipment to conduct a thorough investigation. It is believed that the remains of Natalee Holloway have been found in the pond. Diario has approached the local authorities to get a statement from them regarding the finding of the body. The police officers got nervous and wouldn’t go into details.

Yes he did! I believe that he has contacts in Holland and he could turn out to be correct. I personally do not believe that the duct tape will yield any information. Dan emphasizes in his post that these reports are unconfirmed.

My hat is off to you for the extraordinary volume of work you have put in on your Natalee threads.

I have had a thought that regarding the military's satellite photographing program, that newspapers can be read on the ground and license plates, etc., I wonder if any satellites passed over Aruba at the time 1AM to 3AM the night Natalee disappeared.

And if so, I wonder if records are kept for later retrieval. This might show up as car lights traveling from the beach to the pond near the Aruba tennis club, for instance. It might also show the witness' car passing by the Kalpoe parked car. Or possibly people on the beach or around the pond.

I wouldn't know how to go about finding out if any satellite views would be available for that night.

I think one has to tread lightly when posting things, and think twice or three times before hitting the "post" button. And it is generally a mistake to post something like like "Why are you guys discussing this?" or "Don't talk about THIS aspect of it, you should be talking about THAT aspect of it."
I think this case attracts attention for a number of reasons. People who are parents feel frightened sympathy for the parents who sent their child on a trip that they thought would be fun but safe. People who travel overseas or people who hang out in clubs and bars feel frightened sympathy for somebody who was seemingly just trying to have a good time and fell upon what looks like foul play.
What interests people who don't know Natalee is how this case connects to relationships and events in our own lives. in my opinion.

"Boy I better stay away from Harry Potter threads, they would eat me alive..what is it with that nonsense that people like anyway?..LOL.."

It beats me. My guess: infatuation and political ramifications, especially the latter.
