Frankly, I think everyone (other countries and their citizens) already hate America. It's like some sort of nationalistic penis envy. Although, some minority might like us because they have relatives here, the rest never have and never will.
Also, I think the reason the Arubans, in particularly, hate us is they know they are dependent on U.S. tourism. There attitude is passive-agressive. They need our money, but they don't mind if Aruban men abuse American female tourists. It's similar to (but much worse than) the attitude that year-round residents of U.S. tourist locales have toward the summer residents and vacationers. Smiling on the outside, seething on the inside.
I hope the press steps all over Aruba, because Aruba is protecting is own.

Not only are these media talking heads misconsturing info to other countries, they are also doing to Americans as well. I don't know about or speak for anyone else, but I expect more than what I have been witnessing from some.
You can only be abused if you allow yourself to be abused. I have travelled all over the Caribbean and have never been abused. Women, actually everyone, should be responsible for their own safety and use their heads. We don't get to travel with SS or FBI agents taking care of us. If you can't accept that level of responsibility, then stay home.
