I know and I got a phone call as soon as the press conference started.
My bet is that just as Beth has always said, she immediately thought that Natalee was most likely kidnapped, and they know the FBI has tremendous expertise and experience in kidnapping cases. There is nobody better to turn to, and time would have been extremely crucial.
She was crying so couldn't talk very long.

Buying tickets is one thing; using them is another.
At the very least the brothers lie delayed the investigation, lead to the security guards arrest and allowed the potential guilty party and his father to hide evidence.
She probably knows more that we do.

No she isn't asking for "some type of vigilante justice here". Please read where I said MY WORDS, NOT HERS. She asked that no one offer them a safe haven. The Holloways are anything but "vigilantes". Now me, that's another story. I would tear that hell hole apart looking for my child including anyone who stood in my way!
I sympathize with her grief and desparation, but she is not a legal expert and has no more evidence of murder than the authorities do (FBI, Arubans etc.)
Where did anyone suggest that she was a "legal expert"? She has an attorney and since Beth did as much investigating as the Arubans did in the beginning I think she has evidence that you don't know about and obviously neither does the rest of the country. That's why she was threatening to go to the media with it since it is her ONLY leverage at this point.
Apparently obstructing justice is not a crime in Aruba but normal practice..why else would everyone lie so freely? Their passports should have been taken and not allowed to leave pending resolution based on their prior lies. I hope they can at least be sued civily by the security guards and Natalees family..what a crock, one can try and defend Dutch Justice, but impeding an investigation should be a crime, without a penalty, why not lie? Is perjury against the law? Did they take statements under penalty of perjury?

It is now that I ask the world to help me. Two suspects were released yesterday that were involved in a violent crime against my daughter. They are beling allowed to walk among us. They have no restrictions as to where they can travel. Do not allow these criminals to walk among your citizens. It is my greatest fear today that the Kalpoe brothers will leave Aruba. I am asking all nations not to offer them a safe haven. I'm asking this on behalf of my beautiful and intelligent daughter who I haven't seen in 36 days.
