Yeah, I remember that conversation. In the pic I have, he's either doing a gang sign or he's doing the "2 downtown, 1 in the brown" sign wrong and doesn't realize it. LOL!
What I understood is that the only way lying can hurt you is if you are charged with something, then it can hurt your defense against the charges. However, if you are not charged with some "larger" more serious crime, then lying cannot hurt you because you cannot be charged with a seperate crime of lying or "obstructing justice". Why? Well, that's just the way their system works...
Maybe Deepak's lawyer put the kibosh on the interview. Especially since Deepak is now thinking of suing the Twittys.
The little slime! I guess this is the new way for the Sleaze Brothers to make a fortune, since their drug-dealing career has been dealt a hefty blow.
I wondered the same thing about BOR. I hope Fox is rethinking his contract. He is boring, and condescending to all of the reporters he has on his show. And I am still p1ssed off that he got out of his sexual harrasment suite so easily. Fox needs to lose him.

Heard Jug on the Hannity show this afternoon. Sean asked him about the "shocking" information and Jug downplayed the comment. I've heard him say it a few times so I was sort of confused.

I think te Holloways should just go ahead and spill their "shocking" information. It couldn't hurt. It might light a fire under the Aruban authorities.
Greta and Tito were dishing about Karin Jansen, the prosecutor. Tito said she's goodlooking, but don't let that fool you. She's hard as steel (words to that effect).

As a point of information Greta asked some guy (Aruban atty?)if it was a crime for a suspect to lie to police, and he said no it was not a crime if the person was a suspect..nice huh...
In the United States, you can not be compelled to be a witness against yourself. It is the Right to not self-incriminate often referred to as 'pleading the fifth.'
HEMMER: Fifth point. You have a right not to incriminate yourself, similar to the Fifth Amendment here.
SIMON: Yes. That is similar to down there. Both in our country and in Aruba, there's the right to be free from self incriminating oneself. And that applies both in the investigative stage -- so where they're held now, they can stand on their quote, unquote, Fifth Amendment rights, which is, of course, not the Fifth Amendment down there, but their rights to be free from self incrimination and not necessarily cooperate or speak to the police. If they are charged ... they cannot be required to be -- to testify against themselves. And if they don't testify, no adverse inference can be drawn.
Just thinking about WHY Beth might have been so positive Natalee was kidnapped...first, she was certain something bad had happened to Natalee, because no way would Natalee be late to get with the group for her return flight, because Natalee is so organized and is NEVER late. Second, when Beth started to think of what bad thing might have happened, she cannot bring herself to assume Natalee is dead. So the only thing her mind will accept is that Natalee is being held by someone against her will, but is very much alive. This might be all there is to what Beth is trying to say right now. If there is anything more, she is keeping it to herself for strategic reasons.
