Terri Schiavo's husband buried her cremated remains in a Clearwater cemetery Monday, inscribing on her bronze grave marker that ``I kept my promise.''
David Gibbs, an attorney for the woman's parents, Bob and Mary Schindler, said inscribing the marker that way was a nasty political statement by Michael Schiavo, who held the service and burial Monday before telling her family.
``Obviously, that's a real shot and another unkind act toward a grieving mom and dad,'' Gibbs said.
After earlier announcing plans to bury his wife's ashes in their native Pennsylvania, Michael Schiavo instead interred them at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park in Clearwater, near Tampa, his attorney, George Felos, said in a short news release Monday.

How ironic; a group of people who didn't want Terri's husband deciding what happened to Terri wanting to decide how the REST of us live and/or die.

I guess your leaving means you can't back up your accusations against me.
Such a BIG surprise.

"You don't believe the people of this country have the right to decide how they live and die?"
Where is that right spelled out? And thank God it isn't.
There are many people who are incapable of making that decision.
Think about it and get back to me...but think first.

Please Ms, I've followed the posts and my mind is most made up regarding my responses. I just want it to stop! We're tearing ourselves up over it, and we are losing FR credibility over it. Newbie disruptor's get in and using the cover of TS wackjobs continue to cause as much division as they can. They not only embarrass, humiliate and discredit FR, but republicans, conservatives, and most importantly, Christians. Out enemies enjoy the caricature of the Christian, right wing wackjob. The caricature makes it so much easier to discredit us. I've come to realize that in order to conquer and maintain the populations middleground that we must hold rightwing fringe wackjobs in the same contempt as we hold leftwing fringe wackjobs. The right fringe is worse than the left and as bad as the left fringe. The right fringe hurts the right just as badly, if not worse, than Howeird Dean hurts the left.

I have a right to a living will; period. And here you are wanting to foist YOUR ideas and beliefs on me.
I remember when conservatives were against that.

However, I question if an advanced medical directive would pass legal muster if it required the physician to terminate the life of a person with a life threatening but not fatal illness. There is a substantial difference between active euthanasia (for example, administering a deliberate overdose of morphine), vs. withdrawing medical treatment at the direction of the patient.

now ask yourself, is FR really the place for me?Why do you need US to tell YOU whether FR is the place for you or not? You've really nothing of value to offer at FR -- at least you haven't yet -- so why not try CP or WT (whatever that is) -- maybe you'll fit in at those places.
Perhaps they have a special "unit" for those obsessed with FR posters. You'd be right at home.
