us in the so called "Death to Terri" crowd are just people who think it is unbeleivably cruel and sadistic to keep somebody alive languishing in that state for 15 YEARS!

That is your,(you all) whole problem, you see the courts, and government as needing to protect people from themselves. That's why someone mentioned it being the RINOs on FR who were in the pro-death side of the Shrivo case. Its the whole different mindset that is different.

Terri clearly loved her family and enjoyed being alive with them. This is none of your , courts, or governments business, it is God's business when to take a person.

"That's not love. That's obsession."

Good point, Peach. It's a bit sick too.

I have a feeling some on this thread would be delighted to have Michael as a son-in-law

Really? Who?

But you all would have believed it, if it had supported your theories, right? Sorry guys, havn't read the whole thread yet, but I don't believe it was a whitewash, it clearly vindicates the husband.

I don't care what "scientists" say: Teri was alive and fully counscouis when her husband killed her. This was a clear-cut case of euthenasia.

Remember, scienctists have to spend a lot of time in LIBERAL universities that support ABORTION PRO DEATH activists.

Call your US Senator and House Member. (something's in the works). Give them a reason to support a ban if there are no written directives. 1-877-762-8762.

To wait for the Fla Legislature to do something would take too long. George Soros has infiltrated the Fla Legislature as have the National Trial Lawyers and all the euthanasia groups. The Florida Legislature is a part time gig and that's how they act too.

"In this case, Terri tried to speak for herself, for all the good it did. When they came to remove the tube, she was told what they intended to do and she yelled out loudly "I wahhhhhh...." as best she could. Too bad the court didn't take that into consideration.

The people witnessing understood she was trying her best to protest, "I want to live..." But spouse Michael knew better and he had the say."

I was waiting for someone to bring this up. Again, no one knows what Terri meant by that, or if she meant anything. Even if she was trying to communicate (which I doubt), she could have been trying to say "I want to die" as easily as "I want to live". People just heard want they wanted to hear.

The husband was told by Terri's parents to get on with his life and find compansionship. They testified to this under oath.

Exactly. The sanctity of marriage was used as the judge wished it to be used.

Those of us who really believe in the sanctity of marriage (as opposed to its misuse by Greer) were disturbed by that fact.

"They said "intense physical therapy" at Mediplex, Bradenton. When Terri was in Mediplex, the mayor of Bradenton declared a Terri Schiavo Day because she was doing great".

Where do you come up with this garbage?? From the St. Petersburg Times:

"The city of St. Petersburg Beach passed a resolution Tuesday declaring Feb. 17, 1991, as Terri Schiavo Day. On that day, volunteers plan to conduct a huge beach party to raise money to help pay for an experimental operation that, according to Dr. David Baras, medical director of Bayfront Rehabilitation Center, is Mrs. Schiavo's "last hope."

Not only was it not Bradenton FL, it wasn't Mediplex and "Terri Schiavo Day" wasn't pronounced because she was doing well...it was pronounced because she WAS DOING POORLY! It was declared and held because it was Terri's LAST CHANCE!!!

By the way...when Terri was moved to Morton Plant Hospital, you claimed on this board, that you had inside information that Terri Schiavo was communicating with the staff using eye blinks. You claimed that not only was she communicating but that the staff had signed affidavits to this "fact", that these affidavits were in the hands of the Schlindler's attorneys and that they would be "made public at the appropriate time."

While making this claim you attacked several members of Free Republic for differing opinions (which by the way have been borne out by this autopsy) and accused them of being "liars" and members of some secret cabal to "murder" Terri Schiavo. I was one of them.

You have been a hotbed of lies, misquotes, deceptions, slanders and other attacks. Many long time and revered members of Free Republic are no longer here as the direct result of these unfounded attacks.

I now demand that you put up, or shut up.

He testifies that he would care for Terri in his home until she died.

So did her parents, yet they took her back within weeks. Were they lying, too?

So a man can be married to and the guardian to one woman and live with another woman and have children with her- why are there laws against bigamy then? Isn't that judgmental of us?

Bigamy? He wasn't married to her. And it is judgmental; doesn't mean it's illegal though.

The Schindler testified under oath to Judge Greer that even if they KNEW that Terri didn't want to be kept alive that way, they would keep her alive anyway.

They testified under oath to Judge Greer that even if she needed multiple amputations as a result of loss of circulation, they would keep her alive anyway.

The Judge followed the law by permitting the husband to make the ultimate decision, based on the recommendation of doctors who told him there was no hope. These decisions are made every day in this country.

My personal opinion is and has been: If Terri's mother wanted to take care of her in Terri's waning months, she should have been able to do so. She may have died earlier even with her mother's loving care. Not giving her nutrition and hydrating her to me is murder. Nothing more, nothing less.

Absolutely.

But can you understand that those of us who felt that way STILL accept the fact that the laws of the State of Florida allow her guardian to make the decision and we respect that?

I do.

Remember what?

That you tried to change the subject? That you used name calling and inflammatory language to those who disagree with you?

That's not Christian.
