I live in NC (South of Asheville, near the SC border) and we have checkpoints here (in both NC and SC) weekly.

So it is you that needs to wake up and see what is happening - in your beloved "South" - because what is happening is a movement toward a police State - (Local Police budgets are completely out of control and doing nothing but growing)

It is you that is spouting garbage if you don't admit (deny) the weekly police checkpoints that are currently happening.

I live across the border in Tennessee and I can tell you I haven't seen a sobriety or any other type of checkpoint except on holidays in years. The last one I saw was sometime around '98 when there was a fugitive lose.
