RE:
"I'd just like to add this. Silence from the right when Bush & McCain stood sidebyside saying the ad by the Swiftees was disgraceful; when Bush failed to bring John Kerry's traitorous actions to the fore during the campaign; when Bush calls it's own citizen 'vigilanties' for demanding border security, he is happy to provide to Iraq; is a sign, that he has lost his way and a Senate apparently unconcerned with voices of those paying the freight with both blood and treasure. I'll not be bound to party by blind loyalty. I'll not pretend that a crumb is good enough to keep me on the GOP reservation. It might be good enough for Democrats to keep voting dem for empty promises, but it ain't gonna fly with me." Excellent comments. Thanks.
I am tired of the complacent attitude of Mr. Rove that we conservatives have no where else to go. We American citizens are trying to get his attention. Is that "mean spirited?" To some it is. Go figure.
The last time conservatives got the attention of the Party (Goldwater v. Rockefeller) the result was Ronald Reagan. Not bad.
Frankly I hope that fifty years (or less) from now the majority party evolved from the Minute Man Project and Hold Their Feet to the Fire.
Did the President ever thank those few hundred combat veterans (the Swiftees)?

Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince gave the Bush family $130,000 of fine jewelry, I think in 2003. Maybe he promised to hold his hand in exchange.

You did not vote for Bush twice. No one will vote for President Bush and carry such a hatred toward him.
You are like those liberals callers of conservative radio show, " I voted for Bush twice but he is doing a bad job, wa wa wa...."

I believe that in one of your replies you said that the problem is a small minority of Freepers.
I've read the entire thread.
I think you need to do a re-count.
There are a lot more of us who do not agree with you than you think.

Does she have cancer or will she get bitten by a rancid dogfaced bat? Yes she has the cancer of liberalism and the American voters are too smart to fall for her. The 2004 election showed us that the majority of American voters are very smart to know what is real and what is phony, and they voted for President Bush.
PS: I have some information that two black helicopters are coming to get you now. (extreme sarcasm).

May be the vast freeprs who agree with me did not even see the thread. The vast majority of freepers are not bitter like you and your ilks.
As I said you are a vocal minority who get together on every thread for a Bash Bush Party and you think you are a majority. Only delsuinal people believe that they are a majoirty aka Liberals and phony conservatives.

So, if I understand the writer correctly, to disagree with Bush giving up the security if the southern border with his "Let them all come" style of protecting us and our economy is to be some kind of faux conservative.
Screw that. I voted for him. Given the same choices, I'd vote for him again. And if he were running against a Southern, Moderate Democrat that swore to place the military on our borders to stop illegals....guess who my vote goes to?
I would hold my nose and vote for the 'rat.

President Bush is a President, not a King. He is not immune from doing stupid things such as cozying up to Vicente Fox, nor is he immune from criticism for doing stupid things.
What, do you want an echo chamber around here?

Being "conservative" does not mean being reflexively pro-Bush. In fact, a true conservative will take a politician to task for liberal leanings no matter what party he may belong to. George W. Bush has his share of screw-ups in office. You mentioned illegal immigration more than once. In this area, Bush is far too concerned with Vicenté Fox's delicate feelings. Border protection is a national security issue, first and foremost. Mexico's petty concerns should not matter one bit to our border policy. Bush is making a mistake by letting Fox's opinions carry any weight. And saying so isn't "Bush bashing".

Your kooky conspiracy mind is an insult to FR.The noun "kook" has 1 sense in WordNet.
1. kook, odd fellow, odd fish, queer bird, queer duck, odd man out -- (someone regarded as eccentric or crazy and standing out from a group)
Choosing the wrong words can be like peeing into the wind, FRiend.

"That is because you are a phony conservative"
No sir. You apparantly don't know the difference between the words Conservative, Republican, Liberal and Democrat.
If Zell Miller were running in '04 against GWB, it would have been the first time I ever voted Democrat. Because one is a hell of a lot more consevative than the other. If you are as intelligent as you do appear to be in earlier posts, you can figure out which one that is.
