Border Militia: We'll Shut Down the Border with Machine Guns

Casey Nethercott is the leader of a militia group dubbed the Arizona Guard and said during a TV interview broadcast on Friday, "When this Minuteman thing is over, if it doesn't work, we're going to come out here and close the border with machine guns."

KVOA TV-4 in Tucson carried a report on Friday by reporter Nancy Perla that toured the group's compound that sits along the Arizona/Mexico border near Douglas, Arizona. The camera showed two older model American made SUV's, both painted black, that Nethercott claims are "armored vehicles" with "quarter-inch steel in them." Pointing again to the vehicles, Nethercott continued, "You'll get killed without them, here's been so many shootouts out here."

The camera then shows a concrete block wall riddled with bullet holes that Nethercott says came from drug smugglers. The report titled "Mimicman Projects" by KVOA calls them copy cats and says the project could begin on July 4, though Nethercott would release no details.

The Minuteman Project stated through Chris Simcox, who is an organizer for the project, that they don't support a violent solution. "I think anytime you go to that length to take the law into your own hands, you're asking for trouble," Simcox told KVOA.

The armed militia supports the Minuteman Project, but says that if they fail to close the border to illegal border crossers, his group will step in and be heavily armed to do the job.

An international incident would be welcome at this point.

So you're against Mexicans and Islam. Anyone else we can add to your punch list?

To all of Tancredo's critics, I say : If you don't like Tancredo's approach, come up with something better and actually do something about it. The status quo doesn't cut it.

Why don't we follow the President's agenda for immigration reform? He's (and Rove) have not let us down yet.

>"So does tom tancredo, illegal labor helped remodel his basement with an overhead projector and terraced seating. "<

Ancient history;
that story has no more merit then President Bush's National Guard service had. Both President Bush, and Rep. Tancrdeo have been duly elected by their constituents, and both stories have been dealt with.

>"If he was true to his rhetoric he would get a sledge hammer and destroy that impure structure, but he won't. He like all the rest of us is looking for the best quality at the best prices when buying goods and services."<

Stop your damn lying. It was a licensed and bonded contractor he hired, who was using illegals, as his employees. A homeowner has no control over who a contractor has in his employ.

If you had even a minuscule amount of intelligence, you would acknowledge that fact.

...But you don't...so, you won't.

I'm against illegal aliens. Muslim, Mexican, Canadien, Polish, Cuban, etc.

If I was against mexicans I'd say so.

If these bozo's wanna light up illegal invaders, drug runners, and mexican army border crossers protecting them, with machine guns...well, that works for me.

Chris Simcox is a convicted liar. Why should we believe anything he has to say?

You must have wet your pants in delight as Janet Reno snatched Ellian and sent him back to Cuba.

Not really, but he was here illegally.

The boy belonged with his father. Regardless of politics, judges, capitalism or communism or anything else. I'd want my son, but thats just me.

And Reno was a criminal long before that.

You tried to imply with your post that the article was referencing MMP members which is plainly not true and you know it's not true...The one quote from Simcox makes that clear...

MMK

Ha ! Keep trying though...harrowup already outed you as a Communist in post 153

Do you have a disinformation propaganda agenda or are you simply ignorant?

Neither! Unknowledgable of the specifics of might be more accurate.

Funny how you automatically assign me a diety.

I don't even know what Tarancado's position on the matter is, nor do I care what he thinks, nor do I even pay attention to him.

What state is he from?

As you will recall, in the past I have suggested that you need to become better informed about the subjects at hand. This is another such subject where you need you be better informed.

History tells us that movements are composed of the various elements or groups within the movement. The groups within are always connected thru leadership. Sometimes overtly, sometimes covertly, sometimes as a matter of fact. Sometimes they are enemies. Even as enemies, they take cues from each other.

When movements expand, the number of groups in the movement expand. Most frequently the individuals forming the new groups comes from an existing group and are well trained by and heavily influenced by their former leaders. It always benefits them all to participate in a multi=level hierarchy. Doing this enhances their power witin the movement. It enhances their ability to set the agenda, to influence the direction of the movement.

Groups in a movement are also linked by membership. If you look at all the individuals in a movement you find an infinate number of opinions and attitudes. It is not uncommon for individuals to identify with two or more groups. Often the committment the individual wishes to make neccesitates multiple membership.

You need to understand that much of this is determined by human nature and how humans organize themselves.

The one quote from Simcox makes that clear...

But Simcox is a convicted liar. He literally was convicted of firearm violations and lying to a federal officer. Why should I believe a word he says?

"The boy belonged with his father."

That's all I need to hear from you. Ellian was here legally. He stepped foot in America. That's all a Cuban refugee need do. Reno sent him to his death in Cuba. You know as well as I do, it isn't the father (whom his mother fled from) who will raise the boy - it's Castro.

"It's people like you who have caused the problem in the first place.'
Yes, as I sit here in the Catskill Mountains of New York State, it is people like me who have not issued an order for the Boarder Patrol to do its job

Well now, to be fair, my grandfather's dairy farm in the Kitskills had a cash crop of potatoes and the pickers were always aliens...

now, to be sure, the first time I saw them in 1944, they were German POWs...and boy oh boy were they ever glad to be there.

I am pinging Cbg, Ben and Dane because they have been unfairly and viciously attacked because of the simple fact that I agree with them on this issue. Please note my new tag line.

How would you solve it?

End all government sponsored social spending on them. They'd have little reason to come here or stay here knowing they will get no "free" education, medical care, etc out of it.

Ellian was here legally.

No he was not! You should learn some immigration law and them go back and learn how Elian came to the US.

Hey, sorry everyone kept attacking you on that ONE comment. You have stated at least twice in this thread that you were misinformed and didn't understand they were two different groups. Here's hoping everyone lays off!
