Here is a perfect example of why "Free" Republic has become a joke. The FROBL race baiters can say ANYTHING, including calling loyal FReepers like myself "Stormfront Nazis" and they are NEVER banned.

If Armstrong Williams was worth over $100,000 to the RNC to subvert, just to promote "No child left behind," them how much more is it worth for the RNC to subvert formerly "Free" Republic, with well-placed donations, over the president's guest worker amnesty program?

It is not deniable that the RNC, via "marketing firms" and "PR firms" as cutouts, has been providing major payola to subvert columnists.

If Armstrong "Nobody" Williams was worth over $100,000 to the RNC, how much is the website which brought down Dan Rather worth to subvert over the illegal immigration issue?

I have not jumped into this controversy, I have basically not been posting on FR this year for personal reasons, but now I must add my dos centavos.

Jim, you are either part of the problem, and have sold out, or you are being misused terribly, via targeted RNC donations under the cover of these disgraceful race-baiting FROBLs.

It's been very, very sad to watch this disgraceful episode in FR history.

If Dane is not immediately banned for calling a freeper a Nazi racist above, we will know for certain that "Free" Republic has jumped the shark for the Open Border Lobby.

I'll add an answer to MI's comment about why many of us do not participate:

Speaking for myself, it is for 3 reasons:

1. Before the election, we needed to focus on our agreements and support Bush.


2. The tiny but so very *shrill* group who do indeed throw out the racism accusation as a habitual tactic of "debate".

To deny this is common is ludicrous - no one is fooled.

To deny it is a serious problem is unwise IMO.

Allowing it to continue is not only terribly unjust, but it needlessly polarizes people into staunch "camps". Not smart, not conducive to clear reasoning.

And if that isn't enough, their crying wolf allows the true racism to sneak under the wire. Think.

Yes - get rid of the bigots as they harm our cause and our image. But dump the wolf-criers for the same reason.


3. Those for Bush's plan, or who don't see our borders as a serious problem in need of strong action, are a tiny minority amongst conservatives. Look outside FR.

Bush's plan isn't going to pass, the call to fix things the right way is being raised in many, and much more powerful, places outside FR, and basically, our side is winning anyway.

So, a lot of us just don't bother getting into the fray here where the debates are so full of useless noise the signal is lost. We just make our thoughts heard elsewhere.

Dane is one of the several statist posters that I've butted heads with in the past. And I recall, his first resort was to always make a personal attack or insult.

I never fully understood (although I have my suspicions) why that was "allowed" time after time after time, while long-time FReepers were often banned for stepping over the line only once (or merely being on the "wrong" side of an issue).

As for FR, most of the better posters have either been banned or left on their own accord. That is the main reason that I don't post here much anymore, unless someone pings me.

This will be my last reply on this but I want to get this off my chest.

Who exactly is being the "nazi" here Travis. I gave my opinion and you all in what I consider(again my opinion) a mob mentality wanted no less than my head for daring to give my opinion.

I don't blame Jim for his actions since you and your posse were making me the onus of this thread, instead of the stormfronters who have inflitrated and are a big part of initiating the so-called minuteman movement. In actuality I pity you and your posse for trying to quash people's opinions of which you probably agree with 75% of the time on other political issues.

And one last comment, before I leave this thread.

The majority of those who were glad to see sent into exile for a few days commented that I must be a woman, but it was those same people whose cackling gossip would put the classic TV character gossip of Mrs. Kravitz to shame.
