Calling an idea asinine is not name-calling under any definition I can think of. If it is, then any difference of opinion on any matter here shouldn't be tolerated.

It's not what I want, it's just trying to encourage an atmosphere of friendly discussion. You can disagree with me and I can disagree with you, but I will not call your opinion asinine. Isn't it akin to calling someone's thought "stupid?" I really don't like the way some posts contain hostility. Aren't FReepers on the same team?
