The shot heard around the Internet has been fired on FreeRepublic.com The owner Jim Robinson and his moderators have launched a sniper style purge against members that disagree with the President’s ‘guest worker’ amnesty or support more control of illegal immigration. Free Republic is an amazing tool for those looking for a good debate and news from around the country.
The problem for the administration of the site is that their creation is allowing the participants to learn that the Bush immigration record and plans are shockingly out of line with the views of most conservatives. The management’s answer to this conflict between the majority of conservatives and the influence of the White House on their Web site has become electronic executions and censorship.
Members and readers of Free Republic would be surprised to know that many members of their community have fallen silent on the discussions about illegal immigration lately because free speech is an illusion on FR.com. They are silent because they have been banned from the Web site without warning, cause, or explanation in most cases. For weeks the moderators have been suspending and banning new members that chimed in quickly on the immigration debates.
Now this trend has broadened as the first groups of long-term users were suspended or banned this past week. Although Robinson and his staff removed many members of the Free Republic community in the first few days of the purge, those that religiously support President Bush’s immigration plan, open borders and approve of public benefits for illegal aliens remain on the forum. Those that were banned were the members that wanted more done to control illegal immigration and a strict observance to the President’s Oath of Office.
Vis a vis Hillary and the Borderitos Catatonicos, there are those who claim they would vote for the devil if he were to take up the banner of anti-illegal-immigration as Hillary has done.
And I look at that politicians history, let's go back to 1992 shall we.
The Clintons 1992 promises, end welfare as we know it, middle class tax cuts, being tough on China.
Welfare reform. The Clintons vetoed 3 times before in a purely cynical election year move, Clinton signed it.
Middle class tax cuts. The Clintons raised taxes.
Being tough on China. The Clintons basically sold military secrets for campign cash. The names John Huang and Johhny Chung ring a bell.
Hey you can follow like a lemming your govt. union leadership dictates about hillary, that's your right, it's my right to prove by her previous actions that hillary is an opprotunist who hides her marxist core, by pandering to the likes of you.
OH BTW, I guess you are just hunky dory with her help in pardoning the Puerto Rican FALN terrorists. I wouldn't doubt it.

You don't believe that there is a problem with illegal voting made easier by illegal immigrants? Bob Dornan, I believe, proved a level of illegal voting sufficient to have cost him an election. In Washington state, the largest liberal county has certified a vote count which well exceeds their voter registration.
The money which is at stake has created wide-spread corruption and will continue to do so. What do you propose is the solution to this runaway socialism, given the violations of the ballot box and the courts?

Dude my parent was a first generation immigrant and my parent told me that they were called derogatory names and were disliked. They ignored your ilk. They had their own papers in their language and they were derided becuase they read them.
Also, when watching Spanish television I see 1/2 hour infomercials pushing courses to learn English.
Get back to me when there is an infomerical selling Spanish instruction.
Of course, if someone is liable to be yanked off their job at any moment and shipped back to wherever they came, there's not a lot of incentive to assimilate, is there? You can't have it both ways: You can't gripe about the lack of assimilation by illegal immigrants and call for the immediate deportation of tens of millions of people.
