Ok. Discreet. They were discreet because THERE WAS SHAME IN THAT SORT OF BEHAVIOR. Sex was something private, between two people, not a roomfull of men and a couple of trashy whores. How many American women would have engaged in this behavior 50-70 years ago? Why, oh why, in the foremost republican forum in the nation, are there not howls of disapproval?
