I'm too lazy to make a beer run...no car, ya know. So I will put off the desire. I'll probably wish I hadn't by this evening...

And my sister is doing her spring cleaning. She says she's got a whole bunch of stuff ready for a yard sale. Maybe I'll get the books...

I like Subway's sandwiches, but the distance is the same, whether it's beer or food. Not in the mood at the moment.

Ear infections are so trying for kids. Parents don't get much rest during them either. I was lucky, in that my babies never had an ear infection, so I really don't know how to empathize.
Keep the liquor handy!

What's this stuff?
Some books. S'posed to be good for you.
Did you read them?
I'm not gonna read them! ... Let's get Mikey!
He won't read them; he hates everything!
... Hey Mikey!

My beer place is right around the corner.
Next to the Subway and a pretty good Chinese take-ou as a matter of fact...
Hmmm. Maybe I should take a break!

I know... According to the Doc at her last Well Child visit said she'd be a six footer by the time she hits full growth. Barring illness that is...

Heh-heh!
I'm still trying to find all my books. There are two that I'm very interested in reading, and I don't know where the box is that has them in it. ;]

There is a formula for determining a child's adult height, but I have lost it. I figured my son would be 6'4" and he is. It is supposed to be done when they are two. I wish I could remember the formula.

Ana is still a few months from 2, but is already taller than most 5 year olds.

MY friend in TX has a grandaughter who was like that. She is in Kindergarten, but looks like a second or third grader.

This was taken last week.
Standard height desk. Note: she's not wearing shoes.

So much for putting the light switches out of a child's reach.

Wow. Teach her to stand straight...balance a book on her head when she walks...and always tell her that her height makes her more beautiful. It's hard to be taller than all your friends, unless you are a guy. (I speak from experience!)

Yep. She's mastering doorhandles at the moment. Gonna be an awkward day come the time she puts waking up early from a nap with opening the door to mommy and daddy's room together.
*Insert shudder of horror*

Yeah. Teaching her anything is kinda hit or miss at this point.
Then again, I fell for her Mom as hard as I did BECAUSE she's on the tallish side. I like long legs. ;-)

I don't think it's the light switches he will have to worry about. I suspect he will have a tough time with guys wanting to date her when she is 10. Argh! I don't envy you, DC. Get that shotgun out and keep it by the door. Ana is a precious jewel.

We always had an "open door" policy. If the door was closed, the kids knocked. We gave them the same respect. It just takes a while to enforce. Barring that, get a lock for the bedroom door. ;o]

Yepper...I know how the leg thing works. ;o]
Good-lookin' legs come from my mother's side of the family. Mine are the longest, though. Even my parents were shorter than I am.
