Well, at least we can agree on something!
"Mollie does all of that.
she also:
enjoys being bathed... and I mean she LIKES to stand in deep water under a running tap.
crawls under my pillow while I sleep.
is utterly fascinated with the operation of a toilet.
allows me to stick my finger inside her mouth, without biting
can defy gravity: manages to remain glued to lap or belly when her human cushion stands"
ROTFLMBO!
Good girl!
"No television set for the past month or so."
I hardly watch the Dummy Box nowadays. Only occasionally and on a Sunday.
I don't even recommend children watching cartoons, unless they're the old tunes with a Mel Blanc voice behind them.
Thanks.
Tansy, ( AKA "The Great Brown Beast") was half-shepard, half sheltie.
Her love WAS infinate. That dog had a great sense of humor and she could SMILE.
She'd grin, and her eyes would dance when there was something up.
She was about 60 pounds, and she was my constant companion.
I STILL miss her gentle warmth and weight on my leg as I stand to cook, or wash dishes, and I miss going to grab the mail without her right next to me.
"A cat that greets you at the door, comes when you call him-- even when he is asleep or in trouble, plays fetch, and sits at your feet."
You forgot: Plays fetch, comes to a whistle, or a kiss and "Here, Boy!"
:o]
Thanks
I am sorry for your losses. I keep saying, if heaven doesn't have my animal babies there, I don't want to go!
the gravity-defiance is most interesting... until she augments it with those needle-sharp claws.
fortunately she doesn't weigh enough to really hurt.
now, she has this thing about her tail... she gets into chasing it and totally misplaces her situational awareness.
it is a laugh-riot.
AMEN
I understand!
I am sure that there is a fine, green place, and that ALl of our loved are there... even if they have paws!
I actually watch alot but it's 95% football.
I'll have you know I have never been indicted.
"Being a student, it's not so easy. Especially with the prices of apartments in a college town - it's outrageous."
Las Vegas is not just a gambling spot, but it is also a college town AND a military town, so rents are high (10% discount for military) and pets or kids in the complex are pricey.
College students work for whatever they can get, and in LV, employers are in the know about that. A lot of military work second jobs, so if a person gets fed up and quits, there is always someone else to fill the void.
I believe that "what goes around, comes around" so I try not to get too angry about the situation, but it is hard when you are alone, and trying to take care of yourself.
(Tucson is also a college/military town, but it is not as cutthroat as LV.)
yeah, 'cuz da witnussiz fo' da persercyooshun keeps myootattin' inter' pop-music singerz an' other, wuss, mo' offal critters.
I know exactly what you mean, tiamat.
I owned dogs for twenty years. Then sold my house and bought an apartment. And, even though dogs were allowed in the building, I thought it would be cruel and usual punishment to raise a dog in an apartment. Last summer the board amended the by-laws and no more "pets" are allowed, although so far no one has complained about my adorable parakeets.
M-kay!
I suppose you could do a dog in a aprtment IF you were very diligent about making sure that he got to run every day.
( And I think I would go for a small dog under those circumstances! )
MOST, ( Not all ) apartments will let things like a hamster, a parakeet, a guinea pig slide, so long as no one complains.
Welcome to the Undead Thread, Part II!
But be warned: Once you visit, you will never REALLY leave...
:o]
I say "hi" whenever I pass any of my neighbors. Most of them look at me like I'm crazy, and usually don't respond.
