I suppose you could do a dog in a aprtment IF you were very diligent about making sure that he got to run every day.

( And I think I would go for a small dog under those circumstances! )

MOST, ( Not all ) apartments will let things like a hamster, a parakeet, a guinea pig slide, so long as no one complains.

I was thinking of a chiuwawa (spelling, I'm sure) and so inquired. No dogs of any size at all are allowed. Besides chiuwawa are very loud dogs. But I love them!

Although the new policy states no "pets" of any kind, they do allow birds and other small animals. The reason, as I see it, the lawyer couldn't be specific as to the kinds of pets are allowed and which ones are not, are to avoid any discrimination suits by tenants. Hence the generic term, "pets" had to be used. But, small pets are definitely allowed, except dogs of any size.

Oh, well, someday when I move to Long Island perhaps I'll have a new "best friends."
