Actually, you can't distinguish between me and my (much) older brother in most of our baby pictures.
Then again, there aren't really too many baby pictures of me-for some inexplicable reason-so it's not much of a problem.
I think that my sister was the only one of us born with a substantial quantity of hair.
The rest of the litter were Q-balls.
:0)
Ever have a Wurtemberg Red?
A very fragrant inexpensive German wine.
Sadly, it's hard to get here, because the Germans keep it all to themselves usually and drink it up before it has a chance to get here!
You never heard of "tourist trap"?
That's a sign on the Interstate advertising "The World's Biggest Chicken!!!"
So you pull off, and pay your admission, only to discover they're showing Michael Moore.
Darkling I listen; and, for many a time
I have been half in love with easeful Death,
Call'd him soft names in many a musèd rhyme,
To take into the air my quiet breath;
Now more than ever seems it rich to die,
To cease upon the midnight with no pain,
While thou art pouring forth thy soul abroad
In such an ecstasy!
Still wouldst thou sing, and I have ears in vain
To thy high requiem become a sod.
(From "Ode to a Nightingale," by John Keats)
I've had one child out of seven born with hair. The one that's really weird, too.
I kind of see it ... I thought you were alluding to Florida as a tourist destination, as well as culture-of-death America as "hell." The metaphor there didn't quite "zing" for me.
He's doing fine.
We have not had much experience with German wines. There are some in the stores here, but they cost more than California or Australian, so we don't try them.
My brother lived in Germany for 4 years, and my parents visited wine festivals (as well as beer bashes) with him.
Sadly, German wines have gotten trendy, so they have gotten expensive...
That's good. We need to find a new location for our fish tank before we get a new fish. We have it on an elevated ledge in the kitchen, but it's in full sun all day in the summer and grows algae terribly.
I hadn't realized German wines were in fashion. We tend to live in non-wine-drinking areas, so it can be hard to find a good selection. Here (Charlotte, NC) is not nearly as bad as Oklahoma or rural Tennessee ... but I can't get my favorite Texas wines here!
I had no idea Texas had wine-growers.
OKay, I'm jealous.
My family, while possibly cute, all look like there should be a sign floating overhead saying 'Hi! My name is: EVIL FORCE' or some such.
My fish tank is in the opposite side of the room away from the window. The temperature stays more constant there, and I don't have much algae growth.
According to this site: http://www.texaswinetrails.com/wineries.htm
there are almost 80 wineries in Texas. Some are just buying grapes and making wine, but some are growing their own grapes. The vineyards are in West and North Texas.
My favorites are Llano Estacado and Cap-Rock, both from the north.
Busy? 25 months ago my 80+ man ("person") company was bought by a 6000 man ("...") corporation. Today that corporation was bought by a 1000000+ man ("person") corporation. AIEEEE
That's good. We had better luck with our fish in a more shaded location.
Oh, hey!
That website has recipes, too!
Thanks, TC!
Except for Tom (#3, the alien), my kids all look harmless. It's deceptive, of course, although James is still Totally Perfect.
Glad I could help. "Texas ... It's like a whole other country!"
