you are being silly. knowing details about the post ww2 rebuilding of germany is not significant when discussing our current effort in iraq. they are very different situations with very different people. i am not questioning your claims about our efforts in rebuilding germany so there is no need for me to start taking a test on it.

we wont be able to make a democracy out of muslims. the odds are so stacked against us it would be like winning the lottery. its a gamble. i dont think its our governments job to gamble our money otherwise id support taking social security funds to las vegas and try to save it by betting on black.

we want democracy to take hold in iraq and spread throughout the muslim world. not going to happen.

Are you at all familiar with the following ..."THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW THE PAST,ARE DAMNED TO REPEAT IT." ?

Look kid,you are just digging such a deep hole, you are never going to be able to extricate yourself.FYI...what you just said about Iraq,is what was said about Germany and Japan. Those who said that almost 60 years ago, were just as wrong back then,as you are right now and they knew more than you do.

Okay, let's,by all means, forget all about WW II! Instead, let;'s talk about WW I,what transpired in Paris in 1918 and what the aftermath of the Treaty of Versailles wrought.Oh and yes,one really can trace ALL of the ills/wars/problems of the rest of the 20th century and the very early years of the 21rst.at the feet of Clemenceau and Woodrow Wilson and to a much lesser extent,Lloyd George.

The ONLY "silly" person here is you!
