Aww, that hurt. Seriously, Wisconsin was 12,000 votes out of 3,000,000 some from being a Red state. Most of those 12,000 could be put to massive voter fraud in the metro areas. Same story in 2000, newspapers were reporting college kids voting eight or more times and the AG said "No credible evidence".
Wisconsin is a beautiful state with much to recommend it. It's often said we have four seasons:

Wilkers said that he had told Vang to leave and was staying to make sure he did. He did not ask anyone to come. He did not call for help. His friends came of their own violation, probably worried about him being out there alone but not looking for trouble as they came unarmed.

I read the report. If you are asking me how calling the other hunters provoked Vang, I'm not the one who said that calling them was wrong...you are. I'm simply asking you why that provoked him. In other words, why was it wrong?
To answer your question- the other hunters were the nearest to him. Knowing the area, the hunter knew that LEO were far away. He felt that there was security in numbers so called the others. Only a nutcase would start firing on superior numbers when offered an opportunity to retreat peacefully. Both men were armed. It was a standoff. I suggest that the victim took the next logical step to remove Vang from his property- he called for the nearest aid.
Yes, some conclusions could be drawn couldn't they? I am drawing one right now in fact.
