Regarding the Internet rumors, no member of Freeman's staff made any derogatory or discriminating comments towards Jenna or Barbara Bush. We are a non-partisan establishment and pride ourselves on having a diverse clientele. The Bush twins or any member of the first family are welcome to join us for dinner anytime.
Can this be verified? It would be helpful if someone in that area could check on this story.
Not in NYC. And not in places like that. It takes a very specific type of word of mouth to kill a place.
FREEP!
They are accepting job applications
To apply, please email resume to: jobs@freemansrestaurant.com
I just applied for head jerk!
Hey Chick,
Ya up for a "water date"?? LOL!
I'd say the "4 years" quip qualifies this for the hate crime adder.
"What p***es me off is how much support we gave NYC after the 9/11/01 attacks."
Yeah, but look at France, we did so much for them and they don't return the favor.
Roll eyes, shake head, pull out Uzi and ask again, nicely, for a table?
It wouldn't be my tongue I'd be flipping to the media.
(Okay, I have no class)
"It takes a very specific type of word of mouth to kill a place."
Well get them to use that "specific" type of word of mouth to kill that place lol. ;)
To treat the presidents daughters in that manner shows they are very petty people.
Can I just say...LOW CLAS SCUM !
If I remember right I dropped by that place by accident last month and got violently ill afterwards...
NYer earn their reputation of being graceless classless dirtbags.
Gee, you might think some big bad freeper would start calling in phoney reservations to this place, saying how much they support their stance... like maybe a few dozen a night for the next 4 years ?
The only way to kill a hip restaurant in NYC is to get a mention on the Post's Page Six that Regis Philbin went there and enjoyed himself...
Those Girls need to get their behinds back to Texas where real people live.
It's a privately owned restuarant, and they are refusing to served individuals for political reasons. They have that right, just as we have the right to encourage everyone we know not to eat there. If they wanna be dicks, let 'em. It's just one more example of liberal tolerance and acceptance of diversity, anyhow...
The affordable menu's inspiration stems from retro party appetizers and Midwest hunting lodges. Take the three best starters: nicely gamey wild boar pâté served with a few smashed raspberries and cornichon; baked artichoke dip thick with chokes; and Devils on Horseback--savory blue cheese-stuffed prunes wrapped with bacon.
Durn shame the girls missed out on this down home cookin.
"We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone."
Or, has private property rights suddenly fallen out of fashion now that Bush is in office?
