From their menu -
"blue cheese-stuffed prunes wrapped with bacon"
The toilet in this place must get lots of action given the menu.
Look, it's just another one of those downtown hipster places that'll be gone soon enough. If you are in NYC and want something on that order, then try Chumley's. A bit hard to find, but just as good.
They are free to do that. If I had a pharmacy, I would not sell Clinton heart medication. If I had a JiffyLube, I would refuse to service Hillary's broom.
Ya up for a "water date"?? LOL!
Oh, absolutely! I'm sick and tired of businesses foisting their politics on me. Just last week, I walked away from the Nars Cosmetics counter when the saleswoman started bitching about how angry and depressed she's been since the Election. Even when it was clear that I didn't wish to discuss politics with her, she persisted -- until I interrupted and told her that I was most definitely NOT unhappy with that.
Hmmm... So what?
NY City also has a liberal interpretation of protected classes for discrimination, including political affiliation.
Can you give me a link to where you read that? All I could find on their site was job info.
I called and asked for verification or denial of this story and was told they would not comment. The hostess who answered did say that " the customer knows". The manager said that "due to privacy concerns they will not comment upon anyone's visit there".

A lot of cities have their own civil rights laws which are broader than federal law, and political affiliation is often a protected category in those cities.
Spotted on the 16th,
but NOT posted on that web chat room
til the 19th?
Not buying this one.
One restaurant I wont be going to in NYC..
Absolutely. But that's not illegal, nor should it be in my opinion. Freedom of association and all that. Unlike the left, we shouldn't need to run to the all-powerful government when somebody does something we don't like.
If this had happened to Chelsea at some Republican owned Restaurant in Dallas, it would have been splashed all over the news, AP would have seen to that another example of Republican rudeness.
What is really nice is the fact that if this story about Bushes daughters is true it will get just as much publicity; Because the days of the media concealing the abuse of conservatives or religious people is over.
Also I have been happily surprised about how often the left wing perpetrators have had to back down and offer up apologies when their misdeeds are exposed.
I agree..but if it is true wouldn't it be ironic if a ton of people made reservations to this place on a Friday or Saturday night or even on Thanksgiving then they all came down with a bug just a few hours before their reservation and didn't show up???
Freeman's, owned by first-time restaurateurs William Tigertt and Taavo Somer...
