Today's press conference was the best news I have heard from El Presidente in memory. His "I intend to spend it" line about political capital is the beginning of what I hope to be a more Conservative second term.
Could this have been the strategery all along? 1.)Go out of your way in the first term to play nice-nice, proving that it is a gigantic waste of time with the likes of dacchle, Kennedy, etc.
2.)Run a competent, at best, re-election campaign knowing they'd not run hil-liar-ry, and insted try to push the biggest flaming turd they could find in the Democrat toilet,
3.) Win election by a large margin, gain political capital, (is it a co-winky-dink the gay marriage issue came up in 2004?) and use the second term for real, Conservative progress.
I hope Bush becomes more like George Patton, and less like George McFly. The time for White House Movie Night is over, it is time to stick the knife in the gut of the Donkey, and twist. Sloooooowwwwwwwly.
