Tell you the truth Karl, this is no surprise. I am only surprised that several of our schools, theaters, malls, subways, etc have not been brutally attacked yet.

Even Ridge said not a matter of if, only when.

Actually a buddy of mine got jumped yesterday by a group of our so-called allies. I don't feel like anything is impossible, I'm surprised it didn't happen in the US, first. Do I think we should stop giving free education and health care to illegals, yes. Do I think we should build a dome over our nation so that you can't go out freely and deep-sea fish, no.

Of course it could be false. Reports to the FBI of Muslims learning to fly (but not land) jetliners might also have been false, back in 2000 and 2001.

Only they weren't false, were they?

Do you really see no major security risk with a million or more unchecked foreigners from all over the globe strolling into the USA per year, in wartime?

Like I said, Captain:

"Iceberg reports be damned! I have my doubts about them anyway! They're probably false! Full speed ahead, this ship is unsinkable!"

Sometimes I feel like giving up. FR is what, the top 5% for political perceptiveness? And lots of freepers just can't grasp the danger in millions of unknown foreigners strolling into our country, in WARTIME???

It boggles my mind. 9-11 wasn't enough to wake folks up. Their heads are so box-bound, they make ostriches with their heads buried seem like hawkeyes.

You made a statement that I was incorrect all the time. If you could be specific?

Incorrect again. I never said all the time. I said "early and often". Here's another example;

Now backup your post #398 with a specific, esle you are incorrect again.

Care to interpret that gobbledy-gook? When you try to get all cutesie wootsie and LOL funny, you lose me.

Do you have a problem with millions of unchecked unknown foreigners wandering into our nation every year, in wartime, or not?

As I said earlier in this thread I hate illegal immigration and I even hate legal immigration.

Of course illegal immgration is a security threat.

But you think it's impossible to do significantly better than our current 20% stop rate?

There is a system already ready in place that has been used for over a hundred years that can be used to round up the illegals. It might require a slight modification of laws.

It would not require hiring anymore border patrol. I believe it would be a lot more cost effective, efficient and would also increase job opportunities in the areas where they where needed.

It's the same system that bail bondsmen use to return bail jumpers for trial. It's the bounty system.

All the government would have to do is place a bounty of say $500 a head or so and stipulate that the subjects had to be delivered alive and in reasonable health at processing centers located along the borders.

Then you just let the private business sector do what the government will never do. If the government had some particular person or group they where looking for they could put extra money on those.

It's just an idea that come to me I'm no expert .The government isn't always the best way to get a job done .

Anyone that has got any thoughts on it are welcome to fire away.

I gotta hit the rack, but I'll leave with this cartoon.

Question: is that man named Juan, or Mohammed? How can you tell?

Anyone can get into this country regardless of how you 'police the borders'.

This "resistance is futile" attitude makes me tired. We are not some third world country unable to police our borders. We have the means to do it. All we need is the will to do it.

What is interesting, is DC has all but been turned into an armed camp, surface to air missiles on the roof of the WH, our courts, federal buildings and airports are now basically secured fortresses, totally protected against most attacks, yet, our borders are a wide open, free for all.

This picture is very broken.

I wasn't trying to be funny. Is English your second language? What part of this did you not understand?

"Actually a buddy of mine got jumped yesterday by a group of our so-called allies. I don't feel like anything is impossible, I'm surprised it didn't happen in the US, first. There's nothing cutsie about me, war or children dying. There's also nothing cutsie about someone who five minutes before this "article" was posted wasn't thinking at all about the "millions of unchecked unknown foreigners wandering into our nation every year" and now wants to scare the living daylights out of anyone who will listen.

Consider yourself "terrorized" by the terrorists.

I think we can get a higher stop rate for Mexicans -- I think it would be very hard to get a higher stop rate for real terrorists.

It would prabably take a million or more on any given shift to accomplish that.

That would work. Along with a policy of six months hard labor prior to deportation, large fines for businesses hiring illegals, a cut off of free govt services, etc.

In fact, if you cut off the illegals from The Great American Mammary Gland (free education, health care, driver's licenses in many states, welfare etc) they would deport themselves.

Oh I give up. Almost. Last try.

A million Border Patrol on each shift to go from a 20% to a 95% stop rate? Absurd. Please. You're smarter than that. The BP can do that with effective wartime ROE, tomorrow. "Sorry, there's a war on." Then, if they didn't have a million (per year) casual Latino border jumpers to hide among, would it be easier, or harder, for terrorists to slip across the border? Think about that. I'm going to bed.

While your scenario sounds easy, I don't think it quite as easy as you paint it. One of the fundamentals of running operations like this is compartmentation. You give 30 guys the information on where the cells are they are supposed to contact and you suddenly have made the likelyhood of discovery go up dramatically. If these cells exist, and I don't argue there aren't cells in the US, why do they need Chechens crossing the borders with nothing more than backpacks. If one gets caught the profile is suddenly known and now they wrap up most of them and the names and locations of their contacts in the US. The terrorists are anything but stupid. Furthermore, I could be wrong on this, but have we seen any terrorists attacks which were carried out with nothing but rifles? So far they have always used explosives which destroys not only the target but all the evidence connecting the terrorist with anyone. Even the Chechen attacks against the Russian school were mostly intended to use explosives. I'm not arguing this story could not be true or that it doesn't deserve investigation, I am just suggesting it sounds a little too far fetched. If this is so simple, whay have they waited this long. They keep threatening all these grand attacks but they never pull them off. THere hasn't been a single attack in the US in 3 years and for my money they are planning something much bigger than armed men attacking schools or any other target. My fear is either chemical or nuclear.
