How has he turned off his base? Either way, I don't think he'll do well in the senate, for the same reasons that I think Rudy Giuliani won't either. There you have two people who DO NOT play well with others, and more than that, can only be in charge and not taking orders.

I am many other FREEPERS used to really, really,REALLY like Keyes. Now,because of the facts we've learned about him and what he's said and done,we no longer do.And many people,in the real world, who I know, don't think much of him now, either.I'm talking about staunch Conservatives and broken glass Republicans. These are political junkies, not just your run of the mill person who doesn't really keep up/can be and usually are swayed by the media.

The people here, who keep talking about what a great debater Alan is,how Obama is "scared" of Kesyes, and how Keyes will beat Obama in every debate, are deluding themselves.Unfortunately,Obama IS a good speaker and a more powerful one, when it comes to connecting with the general public.Keyes talks down to perople.

And yes,Rudy is NOT good, when he isn't running the show...which is WHY he's probably going to try to be Governor of N.Y. and NOT make a run for Hillary's seat in the Senate.
