According to Harvey Levin ("Celebrity Justice") from sources connected with both sides in Eagle, Colorado:
1) Kobe accepts a plea bargain for a non-sex crime misdemeanor such as Third-Degree assault. (misdemeanor, Kobe might get probation, wouldn't have to register as sex offender).
2) Kobe settles the civil case. Pays a financial settlement. Gives letter of apology saying, "that even though Kobe Bryant belived that he was doing nothing wrong, that she felt she had been assaulted in the hotel room, and for that he was sorry."
No plea deals struck, but parties talking about it.
Pamela Mackey did no such thing.

Why?
1. He does not live in Colorado not to mention Eagle so he need not worry about the local cops/DA seeking retribution against him. That stops lots of people from filing such actions.
2. He has independent experts on Court TV [from what I have read here] saying lastnight this is malicious prosecution. He could call them as experts and their opinion has been offered already.
3. He has losts all his endorsement contracts so showing monetary damages would be quite easy.
But I have also seen a guy ruined because his brother was famous and an underage girl made accusations hoping for a big payday. She later admitted making the incident up but it still destroyed his career.
While I don't agree that whenever an athlete is accused they are automatically guilty. I don't think its unAmerican to condemn someone if they run with the wrong crowd. This gets into the racial profiling area. And lets face it a lot of us (myself included) believed and still believe things about Clinton that aren't exactly provable in a court of law.

So what are the facts on who leaked the accusers sexual history? I honestly don't know, but I don't think the prosecution wanted it made public.
I agree with you, how you behave and have behaved in the past affects your reputation, Mike Tyson v. Kobe Bryant. It is often reported that Mr. Bryant DOES NOT HANG WITH NBA PLAYERS. He came to the league young and did not hang with teammates and is not close to them.
Again he makes his living playing basketball. That is all some people need to conclude he is guilty. Racial profiling is a matter of picking likely suspects. That someone looks Middle Eastern or has a Middle Eastern name might be a reason to screen them more carefully at the airport. The plea talk has actually been going on for awhile but ignored by most. What has pushed this to this point was the abhorrent mishandling by the court of records culminating in the public release of in camera testimony by the defense expert that does not show the other side.
She has been prejudiced beyond belief and this judge is a disgrace.
