According to Harvey Levin ("Celebrity Justice") from sources connected with both sides in Eagle, Colorado:
1) Kobe accepts a plea bargain for a non-sex crime misdemeanor such as Third-Degree assault. (misdemeanor, Kobe might get probation, wouldn't have to register as sex offender).
2) Kobe settles the civil case. Pays a financial settlement. Gives letter of apology saying, "that even though Kobe Bryant belived that he was doing nothing wrong, that she felt she had been assaulted in the hotel room, and for that he was sorry."
No plea deals struck, but parties talking about it.
I am stunned at Crier; that Shaq interview is a COMPLETE hoax. I'm surprised she doesn't know that.

She?????? What? The DA, the person charging Mr. Bryant is a he. Mr. Bryant is a person of means. The type of person with the wallet to sustain a civil action for malicious prosecution. The DA better be very very careful.

Actually, if you read up the posts, you'll see that I was stating that there was no way the poster could "know for sure" that Kobe was guilty...
The only place that I have read any of this crap is right here on FreeRepublic. What I posted earlier about the advice for a civil trial was what I heard on the radio, just before posting it. I was thinking about it while I was out jogging and I have a theory. I really haven't paid much attention to this case because it disgusts me, but I thought about this today.
What if this girl was waiting for Kobe to check in, because she really is some kind of ditzy groupie. She gives him special attention and offers to show him to his room and flirts with him the whole time. So she is flattered by the reciprocated attention and tries to show off her worldly sophistication. Kobe knows the type, he sees it all the time and figures that he'll take whatever he can get from her because she seems willing. But, Kobe is no dummy, he has seen too many of his brothers caught up in paternity suits and isn't interested in anything but anal sex. The girl goes along with it until she realizes what is going to happen and tries to stop the action. It's too late, he tells her.
