The woman alleges that Bryant approached her and asked for her cellphone number, which she provided. Later, Bryant asked her to get him a soft drink and bring it to him outside, which she did in the presence of another man. Bryant then cornered her and groped her private parts. She says Bryant laughed as she pushed him away, and that she retreated inside O'Neal's home and called her mother. The next day, the woman says, she received a call from a man who said he was an associate of Bryant's, apologizing for Bryant's behavior.
If true, this sounds pretty relevant.
and while that will open all of HER sexual history in , varied and plentiful as it might be, it would probably, I am guessing here,be miniscule compared to HIS sexual history , which will also be open for the public and the #1 wife to see and read....
this should have never gone to court in the first place...a sheepish apology and a little money thrown her way would have been the way to go....
but no, we have had to endure this stupid circus....
I'm glad I'm not a PerpFan
I would like to know why Shaq won't even talk to the DA though.
It's a basketball mafia, man.
according to west's law your are right. But malice is hard to prove that you hear about public figures suing.
One interesting thing I ran into was the 'per se' stuff, which had listed being accused of a terrible crime one did not committ...
I didn't ask whether the defense was producing anyone. I asked if you knew 100% for a fact who the 2nd sexual partner was. Obivously you do not.
Baloney.
Any decent defense attorney can take that fact alone and establish reasonable doubt in the jurors' minds.
This is exactly what I meant about letting the public know what is really going on.
Several studies have confirmed Silverman's contention. For example, according to a nine-year study conducted by former Purdue sociologist Eugene J. Kanin, in over 40 percent of the cases reviewed, the complainants eventually admitted that no rape had occurred (Archives of Sexual Behavior, Vol. 23, No. 1, 1994).
An independent review (by Dr. Charles P. McDowell of the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations) of a 1985 Air Force study published in the Forensic Science Digest found that 60 percent of the 556 rape accusations examined were false.

Good gosh, with every post, you show more and more how little you know about this case.
They have them; two of them.
But malice is hard to prove that you hear about public figures suing. =>
But malice is so hard to prove that you never hear about public figures suing for libel.
She lied about it in the very beginning and, since he has known this very fact since last October, Hurlburt's been lying about it ever since.
It is relevant; when she pushed his hands away, he stopped.
Which, by the way, is the same thing THIS girl said.
Bryant's star has not dimmmed...
people are cheering for him in all the venues he cares to go...
Bryant's biggest problem now is to try to explain how he single handedly destroyed the Lakers by pushing the BIG GUY down to Florida......
I think this is highly relevant. Mr. Bryant showed interest in a woman who showed some in him by giving him her phone number. When it became clear he was trying to advance the situation more than she wanted HE DID NOT RAPE HER.
This seems highly releveant to me FOR THE DEFENSE. I could see the defense calling this woman Mr. Bryant did not rape before I could see the prosecution calling her.
Actually he has lost several big endorsement contracts. This has cost him a lot of money. But then he makes alot of money just playing basketball.
And that proves what? That a 20 year old guy "hitting on" a pretty girl is a sexual attack?
Is also proves that he did NOT assault her.
I'm surprised at how many people have bought into this PC crap.
I'll start calling around Eagle, Colorado and get back to you.
(What's your explanation for showing up at the rape exam with second person's motile sperm more in evidence than Kobe's? She slipped in a sperm bank?)
Put them all on the stand in front of the jury in Eagle, Colorado, Kobe and all the women. The jury will give him a fair trial.
The prosecutor knows the names of the two guys she was with that week; wonder why HE won't ask the court to have their DNA tested?
