NEW YORK (AP) _ A power outage during rush hour at Pennsylvania Station on Tuesday caused train delays of up to an hour and affected thousands of commuters.
The outage was reported at about 4:30 p.m. on tracks owned by Amtrak, said Penny Bassett Hackett, a spokeswoman for New Jersey Transit. Amtrak officials could not be reached by telephone for comment.
The 30-minute loss of power stopped train service between New York and Newark, N.J. When power was restored, there were delays in service of about an hour.
