Interesting that you feel this way, I concur with many of your thoughts.
I have spent a lot of time this summer reading about what happened prior to 9/11 and I feel the situation we find ourselves in now is quite similar. The pieces of a major catastrophe are coming together quite similarly, but in a different manner.
My overwhelming belief since 9/11 was that the next attack on US soil would be extremely horrific, on a scale that makes 9/11 look like a good day. I seriously hope I am wrong, but I cannot discount that fact becoming an actuality.
We are in a race against time; it has become quite apparent that this is true in the past couple of weeks. There is something very evil on the horizon.
I just hope it doesn't turn out as bad as I envision it.
I think we will see everything AQ has in its arsenal thrown at us and the world in the next major strike. It could be very bad. I would not put it past them from breaking out every bit of WMD they have. They will use WMD, and I do believe they have nukes. Their continued mention of Nukes in their fatwas and statements leads me to believe this fact.
The fact that people have once again become blind to what is going on around them gives me more of a sense of concern. I knew AQ would wait until people felt safe again and even though everyone keeps announcing that more is coming, people have begun to ignore the constant stream of threats.
I strongly believe that something will happen before the election, probably in the next 10 weeks…
Let’s hope DHS keeps on doing the damn good job that they have done since 9/11.
All the lame polls back up your remarks on America is Still Asleep! They are not as scared as they once were and we are in more danger now than before!
But hey we let them in, heck we escorted them in during the Persian Gulf about 5,000 stronghold!!!
I have this feeling that all of our security efforts are going to be focused on the convention, they know it and will strike somewhere else.
