I'm not chicken, I'm cynical. I'm not sure that any processing done for NSA would lead to an investigation of anything other than the person who's computer processed it.

I agree with you. I also thought "Richard Jewell" after hearing that LEO were investigating that cop that brought attention to the NYC subway bomb right before it went off. Let's think of a new verb:
Defense Lawyer: "This is merely another misguided attempt by the government to "Jewellize" my client."
