Am I having a memory now about underground explosions/manholes a few months after 9/11 in NY?
Not sure about New York, but DC (Georgetown specifically) had a problem with exploding manhole covers a couple of years ago. The gas company & electric company kept blaming each other & I'm not sure exactly what was decided about it. Haven't heard of it lately though.
I'm sure we've all been exposed to more than we can possibly remember.
It's odd how many things disappear in the information flood.
Silly me, I've got visions of "Ghostbusters 2" in my head, with all the old tunnels under NY.
