Muslim groups take out newspaper ads to condemn terrorism

WEST PATERSON, N.J. -- Five Muslim organizations and seven mosques have taken out advertisements in three New Jersey newspapers to condemn acts of terrorism.

The ads, which featured a banner "Not in the Name of Islam," said the killing of Americans does not represent Islam, just as the Iraqi prisoner abuse scandal does not represent America or Christianity.

Should we send letters of gratitude some muslims are finally speaking out? It's about time, but still not enough. So many of the main groups keep looking the other way. The moderates are the answer and they seem to side with the extremists more often than not. :< This is certainly good news though, anything is better than nothing.
