That's not the way I read it.
I think we've known for some time that Iran and "other nation states"
have been supporting AQ and other terrorist groups. I think the prior administration knew but did nothing about it. This administration is and will continue to do something about it.

I personally do not believe we went into Iraq simply to combat terrorism
there or "just" to remove Saddam. WMD or not in Iraq, our invasion was
the precursor to a much broader campaign based on intelligence that has been known since the Clinton era. Intelligence that shows there has
been a highly organized, intense and carefully implemented attempt, on the part of several state governments, to bring the U.S. to it's knees through terrorist organization fronts.

Iraq was a strategic move. Our opening move. There will be plenty more to come. And I don't think Saudi Arabia is entirely immune to what may follow.

Agree completely. We have a LONG ways to go before the threat of Islamic fanaticism is defeated.

Too bad we have people like Kerry who put their own personal ambitions ahead of the preservation of civilization.

I totally agree that Iraq is just the beginning of cleaning up the region. Thank goodness we're aligned with Israel because they are bold about taking action. They've got their sights on Iran and Syria.

IAEA: No evidence for nuclear activity in Syria

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on Wednesday denied the existence of any evidence that Syria has been developing banned nuclear weapons.

In a statement to Egyptian TV, General-Director of the IAEA Mohammed el-Baradei said "the Agency has no evidence on Syria's attempts to build any nuclear program that violates the Non-Proliferation Treaty." "Syrian officials are ready to cooperate with the IAEA to prove that an allegation against Syria in this respect is groundless," he added.

He called all the regional states to work on preventing the spread of weapons of mass destruction in the region.

US President George W. Bush on May 11 imposed sanctions on Syria, which Washington accuses of supporting "terrorism," seeking to produce arms of mass destruction and trying to destabilize Iraq.

I wish everyone would take the time to read this article that explains the origins of the whole problem including Arafat:
