Your right, Bush can't speak, but he is honest - and this time around he is not worried about votes, he could make a lot of conservative reforms domestically, and Happygal, as you said history will judge Dubya well - history has judged Old Gipper well, Sionnsar I can't figure out this irrational hatred they have for Dubya - it makes no sense.
Me, either. I'd like to hold a dozen or so leftists at gunpoint and ask them, "Why?"
"Sionnsar I can't figure out this irrational hatred they have for Dubya - it makes no sense."
It does, really, in a twisted sort of way. The Lefties wanted carte blanche to abort and gay-wed and tree-hug this country into non-existence. They wanted to "forgive" the terrorists and allow them access to our way of life.
Dubya is STRONG and he is MORAL and that is why they hate him so. He is a GOOD man. Evil hates Good. Good will triumph. I hope this helps a little to clear the mist.
It doesn't make sense to me either, unless they have totally embraced the "gospel" of "stolen," coupled with the electorate's repudiation of Gore (and, to be true, in a way that only the electoral college delivered the vote to Bush). Maybe the truth of the situation is too painful for them to deal with.
Then again, this might be the means of control their "leaders" exert over the lib masses. If their erstwhile rulers can convince their masses of some injustice, there's no place they, the masses, can't be led.
Hate is a powerful emotion, readily manipulated for political ends. Just ask Adolph. Or Uncle Joe.
