Oops. I deleted the original post before posting. Sorry. It had to do with property taxes, of which where I am are 20.77 mils -
(for those unfamiliar, this means that for a home/property asessed at $100,000, you pay 2,077/yr for just property taxes)
That's ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-THREE DOLLARS AND EIGHT CENTS PER MONTH FOR A SMALL HOUSE IN A MARGINAL NEIGHBORHOOD.
That's on top of your loan, interest, and insurance. And if you put down less than 20%, add about 50-75/month for PMI(Mortgage Insurance, and no, it's not deductible).
